I'm saying that just because a person might dress in a certain way doesn't mean they're "asking to be raped" as others on this thread have pointed out. They dress how they do to express themselves, not to be raped.

These people aren't going into a bar, taking off all of their clothes, and telling "come and get it" though are they? They're expressing themselves through fashion, and people who think like you obviously do are taking that as an invitation to force sex upon them.
If the Goth in question never agrees to the sex, then how is not rape? When she's screaming to be let go, how is that her asking for it, just because she chooses to wear certain clothes?

It seems like what is being said is something like the rape itself is fine, as long as the rapist is punished.

No, I did not misunderstand. To put the verse in lay-womans terms, the girl was in a field, all alone - Not a bright thing to do.
She got raped and because she was all alone, no one heard her.
The moral is, had she not been in an empty field all alone, the rape my not of occurred. Because of her irresponsibility, a man lost his life.
