Re: Mormonism
What do we need with modern prophets ??
The King James Bible (1611) is entirely perfect and complete.

I particularly enjoy the part about prophets in those dispensations. Whatever happened to modern prophets?

Tell me, Eric, if you truly believe this, then how do you decide which parts of the Bible you should follow, and which you should discard?Originally posted by eric84 View PostWhen the Bible was compiled by MEN, they easily could of added or taken away a few books that they shouldn't, so the Bible is not FOOL proof, it's just the closest thing we have.
If parts of the Bible aren't true, and it's not God's Perfect Word, then any part of it could be false.
Why not then worship Allah, or be a Buddhist, or a Hindu? Why not be a Unitarian, or secular humanist? After all, by saying that parts of the Bible aren't true, you're saying that you don't believe God's Word. So, you're saying that we make up God to suit us.
If that's the case, why not the Flying Spaghetti Monster? Why not nothing? Why Jesus? Because He's familiar? He has the best cathedrals? What? If the Bible isn't trustworthy, then isn't Jesus (or any deity) on a credibility par with invisible pink unicorns, Santa Claus, and Cthulhu?
I look forward to your reply.

What are you saying?...Are you saying that I'm an ugly old man or something?..I'm 73 years old son.Originally posted by eric84 View PostJesus also taught whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Re: Mormonism
What does that mean?....Has the Devil so infiltrated your soul that you accuse me of mocking His Word?In spite of your wickedness and rebellion, God loved you enough to send His ONLY BEGOTTEN Son to die for your sins. The Bible says, "... thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people FROM their sins." (Matt 1:21). Jesus did not die so that you could keep sinning and go to heaven. He came to save you from the GUILT and the POWER of sin. Jesus DESTROYED the works of the devil on calvary (I John 3:8). When you are unsaved, sin hath dominion over you. Sin is your boss and you can't do anything BUT sin. You are under the wrath of a holy and just God. Murderers, thieves, fornicators, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, rebels, and all other spiritual lepers will not inherit the kingdom. The blood of Jesus is the propitiation for our sins. That means the blood took away the guilt of the sins we've committed AND it has ushered us into a Father child relationship with the Lord. Through the blood of Jesus, we are to serve sin no more.Praise JesusOriginally posted by eric84 View PostI'm only siting the truth, it's not my fault if you don't like it. You can only get "tricked" into going to Hell by not believing God's Word. Why must you come here to mock us?What have we done to you?Originally posted by eric84 View PostHow do you know I am a lay person, you have no clue. But anyways, I wonder how many people you all have tricked on your site.

Re: Mormonism
I know you are a lay person because if you were closer to God, you would not think this was a 'trick site'. It is fine you believe what you want to believe. I was young and foolish once too before I found Jesus and turned my life around. I will tell you, life is precious, don't waste what little time you have hating God like you do. We forgive, He may not.Originally posted by eric84 View PostHow do you know I am a lay person, you have no clue. But anyways, I wonder how many people you all have tricked on your site.

Re: Mormonism
We do not laugh at the mis-informed and mis-guided souls such as your self. We gently try to guide them on the good Godly path. If that fails, we do not worry, there are others that will be more receptive to the Lords teachings. I am amazed how easily you dismiss a person like the Rev., a person who has dedicated his life to the Lord and His Bible, the Bible. you, a mere lay person, scoff at his knowledge. I find that simply amazing and sad.Originally posted by eric84 View Post"Internal consistency" huh, doesn't say that in the Bible, and since its infallible, you can't add your own thought to it. I can't help but laugh though how far you all stretch things, if I hadn't found out this site was indeed a divine revelation, I would be beating myself over the head that you all just don't get it. Any of you ever had a heart attack from laughing so hard at replies on here? I know you'll just deny it's a divine revelation, but I don't believe it.
