All I'll say is the Middle East, predominately Muslim, has little industry, few lush lawns and people running around with bombs strapped to thier chests.

In the mighty US of A we have many lush lawns, lots of industry and no one has a bomb strapped toi thier chest.

as to the other 2 posts..they are neither polite..or helpful in giving a positive image of your religion...the faq thread said there is room for multi faith debate...id atleast request that you were civil about it.... I dont think youd like it if i played on christian stereo types that you would probably find insulting, so why do the same?

I'm sorry some of the members of this church are being rude to you, but unlike them I am very accepting of all religions. Yes, I must say I do have some reservations about the Islamic faith, much of it goes against what I believe. There's a lot in that Koran that I find to be violent, intolerant, backwards, sexist, homophobic, discriminating, prejudiced, racist, disgusting, bizarre and downright crazy, but I have no right to judge you.

thank you friend...actually muslims do believe in jesus as a prophet..as a man, not as the son of god. but thats another topic i dont want to go into.

All the things you have listed my friend, i have found examples of here..please post anything you want and i'lldo my best to explain them...usually there are simple misconceptions people make when judging Islam, or people quote extremists and think thats what we all believe...which is truelly not the case.

Didnt covert him..someone whos so set in his ways could never change their thought of mind even if the truth was dangled right infront of him. No i simply defeated his arguments with general religious principles such as the design argument, and other examples from the abrahamic faiths (jewish, christian and muslim faiths)

With all due respect how much do you actually know about my religion, how do you know how i practice it. How do you come to the conclusion that it promotes violence...are you going off by what you see people practice in the media? or are you gonna throw some out of context quotes at me. You find in all religions there are extremists who practice not what is taught, but what they think is best. No muslim i know condones any Muslim terrorist and we all think they are spreading a bad name for the religion as a whole. Dont judge me by what few do.

You say Christianity promotes love and understanding yet this forum itself is very hateful to anyone that isnt apart of your specific church, even to cahtolics or other christian groups. Surly your not promoting understanding if your going to criticise everyone? If you promote love how come i am met on to this site seeking knowledge with racist, prejudice and hateful remarks (not referring to you of course)
