There is nothing wrong with heavy metal, its one of the genres of music where you really need to have talent.

And, "goodbye", what's that about? there are more metal bands that have emerged in the past 8 years and the 90's than probably any other music.

It doesn't take any talent to make an electrified guitar screech and wail like a demon. The nigra Jimmy Hedricks proved that, and Jesus killed him for trying.

And the idea that MORE heavy metal bands "proves" they are worthwhile is absurd. The world has more cockroaches than it used to, too (thanks to the wetbacks), but that doesn't mean that cockroaches are delicious, now does it?

Slipknot and A7X are really not my favorites, but Ixi, you should check Within Temptation out.

Are all secular "musicians" (and I use the term loosely) engaged in some sort of a deranged one-upmanship contest to see who can come up with the most vile and sinful name? Someone'll probably try calling a band Rotting Christ or 1,000 Homo DJs next!

Why, one of them even has a tallywhacker for a nose! He's almost as bad as SpongeBob! Avenged Sevenfold may have a pleasingly Biblical name, but they also endorse Adam and Eve's decision to commit original sin, and encourage their fans to emulate the deceased demon Hunter S. Thompson by gobbling mescaline, blowing their heads off with shotguns, and criticising Republicans. Not groovy, daddy-o.

'Taleban-like beard' sees Metallica frontman detained at airport

James Hetfield, frontman of US metal rockers Metallica, was detained at a British Airport before his appearance at London's Live Earth gig on Saturday.

According to British newspaper The Times, the rocker jetted into Luton airport ahead of Saturday's Live Earth concert at Wembley Stadium - where his legendary rock band was due to perform - but was halted by officials before he could leave the terminal.

The legendary frontman was then subjected to a brief line of questioning, after which security-conscious officials were left red-faced when Hetfield explained he was a member of a world-famous rock band.

The Times claims Hetfield's friends blame his "Taleban-like beard" for the interrogation.

Metallica formed in 1981 and have become one of the most successful heavy metal bands selling 90 million records worldwide.

The band, currently touring the UK with their Sick of the Studio tour, will release a new album towards the end of this year.

And..heavy metal isent really disapearing, from the news and mtv yes..acctually the heavy metal you crackheads are talking about died a while ago they call that 'hair metal' now..look at the bands slipknot, stone sour (extremely popular band now), lamb of god, and avenged sevenfold. every concert that those bands are in...the shows are almost always sold out..OH wait i forgot the band RAMMSTEIN their an industrial band but they have millions of fans worldwide.
