Jesus came to save vile sinners and remake them like He has remade us: Righteous.
So everyone who has not been reborn and washed clean by Jesus blood is, in short, VILE.

We want God to try us and deem us righteous enough to enter into His presence, but in this verse, Jesus is speaking to those who are sinful:
Those who are in no position to judge anyone, since they do the very things they condemn.

But all True Christians however, are without sin. And thus, we may judge.
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

So we need not fear God's judgement, but we want HIM to try according to our measures and standards, and be deemed righteous.
Anything else would be unfair and only the hypocrites (ie everyone who is unsaved) would need to fear such judgement.
