Really Cassandra you're starting to lose touch with reality. That particular tract (IIRC) is about Dungeons and Dragons, not witches.

When I was around 16 or so I fell away from Christianity and was trying to find a religion that "fit". I tried Wiccanism, well it was the same as any cult. If I wanted to be accepted I had to act exactly the same as everyone else in the coven and had to believe that the leader had special magical powers that the rest of us could not understand. I also read books by silly women who said that they would pray to the earth mother and things would magically happen like $10 bills falling from the sky, and parking spots opening up and such. But once you were over half way into these books they always turned darker and discussed how to put a curse on someone or how a curse worked and such silly things as that.

Well, if you really wanna know one particularly bad story, my friend Marcy had been experimenting with Meth and totally cracked. She would only answer to "Witch Marseeyah. If you were to address her by her proper title e.g, Marcy or Woman, she flip out and rant about the significance of her name >__>

Anyway after one particularly bad night she ran away into the forest with her ritual supplies. Noone knows exactly what happened but when they found her, her Anthame (ritual dagger) was inside her... dirty place..... and her neck had two holes in it and all her blood was drained onto the forest floor. Her Jugular vein had been snapped in half and each half was coming out of one hole like a hose if you get the picture. On her throat someone had carved "JHVH" so God only knows what went on that night....

I really miss her before she cracked and did that.... I really do miss her.... its not fair dammit! Im sorry, excuse me, the story makes me emotional.....

I'm very sorry to hear this story. In fact, things like this sometimes happen, when people call themselves a wiccan because they think it is "cool," instead of the desire to live in harmony with nature. They have the freedom to do that, of course, and may call themselves wiccans, but they don't have more in common with me than they have with you.

Did they catch the Christians who killed her? Did it happen close to Freehold? I never heard before that the christians carved the name of their god into the bodies of witches.

Furthermore, is it possible, just asking, that she didn't really exist, but is inspired by the following piece of filth produced by Jack Chick:

This reminds me of a discussion I had with a local injun. He was discussing the "pow wow" that his tribe was having. I laughed and told him that since he was a coastal tribe, there was no such thing as ancient pow wows. Coastal natives had "pot latches" which were a celebration of the salmon runs in the fall. Pow wows were/are from prairie tribes.

He got all mad and told me that since the injuns were so persecuted they could make up whatever rituals they felt like.

Then again, they've also tried to claim ancient fishing rights on (white) man made stocked lakes. Yeah sure you're grandfather used to fish there way back when it was nothing but a dry gulch.

Both religious traditions (and I use that term very loosely) are based on stories that were written down by the people who conquered them, such as Julius Caesar. Take the example of druidism. All the real druids were wiped out by the Romans, who saw them as threats to Roman paganism and political power - yet people call themselves druids today. So modern 'druidism' has no direct links with the past at all.

Now you just repeat your previous point. I have told that our lore was passed on through the ages orally. And don't try to denigrate that, first check in what year your "holy scripture" first appeared (for example, scientists think that the "Mosaic Law" actually first appeared 400 years after Moses supposedly lived, while parts of it did not appear until another 400 years after that). Again, many of the practices of wicca date from ancient times, and were transmitted orally, just like your religion.

What madness is this? Since when do confused christians like you make the rules for this? As far as I'm aware (or care), you don't even have to follow the Wiccan Rede to be wiccan (though that would be confusing for outsiders, that's certainly true). Wicca is a modern religion. But the practices and rituals of Wicca are ancient, and the Mother Goddess, whom we worship, always has been worshipped by the peoples of the world, under various names.
