You're so smart that you just admitted to cherry picking the parts of the Bible you feel like following.

Don't you know God hates that?

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Nope God LOVES that and wants more of it.
        Qwertyuiopasd’s Letter to the Evangelists.

2:4 As the Flying Spaghetti Monster said through the Buddha, “Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.”
2:5 This is how we must navigate the pluralism that is the essence of Pastafarianism.
3:1 The Flying Spaghetti Monster does not wish us to believe every word of every religion, as that would clearly be a problem and lead to much confusion and conflict.
3:2 All you have to do is be open to finding truth anywhere.
3:3 If you agree with it, believe it, no matter if it comes from the Bible, the Qur‟an, The Buddha, Dave Barry, or any other source imaginable; these are all conduits of the Flying Spaghetti Monster

Well I'm an atheist soooooo I don't believe in God therefore God's "feelings" (which is weird in itself b/c if you were an omnipotent being, why would you have petty emotions that would only weaken you?) doesn't affect me in the slightest. Good try though, I remember my first comeback....though it was much better than that

Re: Think Buddhism is Peaceful And Tolerant?

This thread started off discussing the barbarity of Buddhists. I just want to point out that some Buddhist countries have been among the most grotesquely violent places on earth.

Currently, in percentage terms, the most devoutly Buddhist country in the world is Myanmar, which is also run by a brutal, oppressive dictatorship similar to the end product of what Barack Obama is pushing for America. There is no independent judiciary in Myanmar. The military government restricts and censors Internet access through a software program. Throughout Myanmar forced labour, human trafficking, and brutish child labor are common. The military and its strongmen routinely use sexual violence as an instrument of control, including violent rape and making sex slaves service the sexual desires of the military.

Another Buddhist country is Cambodia, home of the murderous Pol Pot. Upon taking control of the country in 1975, his government evacuated the cities and sent the entire population on forced marches to rural work projects. They attempted to rebuild the country's agriculture on the model of the 11th century, discarded Western medicine, and destroyed temples, libraries, and anything considered Western. Over a million Cambodians, out of a total population of 8 million, died from executions, overwork, starvation and disease. (Sound familiar, Obama voters? Can we please have our country back before it comes to this?)

And finally, when Buddhist people wish to express displeasure, they often commit suicide through self-immolation, or setting themselves on fire. So in addition to being violent, murderous rapists and sadists, they're attention whores as well.

Buddhists are perhaps the second most-violent religion in the world, after the Muslims. Face it, if you prayed to a fat smiling statue wearing while wearing colorful gowns and no shoes, wouldn't you be violently angry?

Wow b/c you know your history well . The Khmer Rouge (the Cambodian regime that caused a mass genocide of about 2 million Cambodians) was certainly NOT Buddhist. They killed Buddhists actually b/c they wanted a country free from religion (Mao Communism modeled after China). So they went about exterminating all the educated people, Buddhists, Christians (yes there were a few thousand Christian Cambodians and they were mostly executed). Funny actually b/c when Pol Pot's regime was chased out by the Vietnamese army, they went to Thailand and were helped by the Americans (ie. you guys). Now am I saying Buddhism has no violence what-so-ever? Not at all. All religions have their violence b/c all religions have fanatics and fundamentalists.

Re: Think Buddhism is Peaceful And Tolerant?

Oh and Thailand is actually statistically the most Buddhist country with 95% of the population being so, versus Myanmar's 88%. Good try though! Also it is the Buddhist monks who are protesting against the government in Myanmar (your picture shows one physically lighting himself on fire in protest which isn't the greatest thing to do but oh well). So you just got proven wrong many times. How does it feel?

Those chinks have no morals because they believe in reincarnation. Instead of worrying about going to Hell, they don't care because they think no matter what they do in this life, they will come into a new body. There is no incentive for morality.

Why do you think China has the highest murder rate in the entire world?

What those slants need is Jesus, then they will be peaceful and civilized.

Brother H. Montague Worthington the Buddhist in the photo looks like he is being engulfed by the fires of hell.

More proof that Buddhist are violent people.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Proverbs 19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
Ezekiel 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Genesis 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
Song of Solomon 1:15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.
