1. Catholics are not Christians.
2. There is no such thing as technically being a Christian. Either you're saved, or you're not:
   Matthew 7:21-23: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Sorry I believe you have misunderstood me. I am Christian only in the fact that I was baptized and haven't renounced my religion. I am not personally a believer, yet I do respect and find beauty in the Bible's readings and teachings.

Well I am technically still a Christian (raised Catholic from birth) but I see the world in a different way. Sorry to have lied and deceived all of you to a degree. I'm sure you're all nice people in your own way.

Okay first of all it's *Buddhism* not Budhism.

Second of all, every religion has it's faults and violent tendencies. Christianity had the Crusades (where millions of men, women, and children were massacred for the greedy needs of the Church and Kings of Europe), Islam has it's backward traditions and seeming lack of human rights, Hinduism and Buddhism, though very quiet religions, definitely have their violent faults since they are such aged religions.

But even with those faults, each religion is still beautiful in it's own way. Christianity and Islam both have beautiful scriptures and writings, and Hinduism and Buddhism show the beauty of consciousness.

No I am not a Mississippi farmer, nor am I 25. I joined just to read into the thoughts of Born Again Christians and see how they see the world. I completely understand how you guys think the way you do since you were raised that way from birth, and that's perfectly fine. It's not any different than Islamic Fundamentalists, or any Fundamentalists really. Honestly one can believe whatever he/she wants as long as it's peaceful and tolerant really, even if they talk big on the internet about "hating queers" and "gather soldiers of Christ" (which will never happen since Muslim, Hindu, and Chinese populations dominate roughly 2/3 of the world's population).

This is neither a slander towards you, nor a stab at your beliefs. I just wanted to make my thoughts known as I acknowledge Buddhism quite highly.
