You must have never studied your own religion. Official Roman Catholic belief believes that the bread and wine literally become Jesus's body and blood. This is from your official catechism.

This change the holy Catholic Church has fittingly and properly called transubstantiation."206

You pray to her though. Isn't prayer worship? You don't pray to Allah or Vishnu, do you? Of course not, because you don't worship them.

Indeed they did. The heathen Romans persecuted many early Christians until they realized it would be easier to co-opt their religion to suit their own nefarious purposes. Constantine saw the writing on the wall. He knew that the corrupt Roman pagan faith didn't have a chance against Christianity, so rather than try to exterminate it, he decided to corrupt it instead. Indeed, the Roman emperor Constantine was probably one of Satan's most successful servants.

another thing that is totally wrong with your statement is that we are only called the Roman Catholic Church because the religion was prominent in the Areas controlled by the Romans. The majority of the Roman government actually persucuted christians and catholics until much later when emperor Constantine and Theodsious felt that it would make citizens happy if more freedom was offered.

Please lurk around this site more because your question has already been answered.

But, allow me to further comment on this matter. We, Landover Baptist Church are indeed True Christians™ because we follow all of the Bible and just the Bible. We don't insert any extra-Biblical teachings in our doctrine. We are as pure of Christians as they come.

The Roman Catholic Church, on the other hand, is a perversion of God's teachings. It's nothing more than a huge Roman mafia that seeks nothing more than to increase its wealth and power. Catholic beliefs are ancient pagan religions wrapped to look like genuine Christianity. Goddess worship became Mary worship. Ancestor worship and polytheism became the saints. The high priest performing magical rituals over the altars became the priest performing Eucharist. And so on.

    The only one true Religion

I'm currently under the impression that most leaders and members in this forum think that the Landover Baptist Church, and the Christian religion per se, is he only one true religion.

I am a proud Roman Catholic and what many of you may not realize is that our two religions have a lot in common. For example

    1) We believe in the same God/Jesus
    2) We believe in heaven, hell etc.
    3) We believe that the 10 commandments are the roots of life morals
    4) We believe that Jesus will come again
    5) We believe that Jesus died for our sins
    etc. etc.

If all of these things are true, why is the Roman Catholic Church looked upon as a cult? Just because there were some dark times in our faith dosen't mean that our religion is a bunch of Satanic bozos.

The same goes for Islam, just because a group of terrorists takes their holy word wayyy to seriously, does not mean that the entire religion is total garbage. Islam worships the same god in a different way.

The only reason that each religion has its differences is because of the lack of human communication between empires while these societies were devoloping. As each empire grew, religions went along with them however the religions had no influence from outside areas, therefore there was no change in the development.

If you truly believe in Jesus' grace and love, than you must believe that he is willing to save and forgive those who worship him, no matter the color of your skin, your customs or traditions, Each of the 6.5 billion people of this world are his children.
