*sigh* You are truly ignorant and close-minded. And guess what? My dad doesn't drink alcohol. She shoots! Oh! Looks like she was turned the other way!

And I sometimes hang out at the house of a friend of mine. Why is this significant? Well, he happens to live in the part of town we call Little Italy. And once again: Goth has nothing to do with necrophilia!

You know, it's people like you going around persecuting everyone that turns so many people away from Christ. They see the way you act and think "Why would I want to become something so hateful of outsiders?" Hey.... Wait a minute!! How am I to know you guys aren't just Satanists or demons pretending to be Christians in order to drive people away from Jesus??!! How am I to know you guys aren't pretending to worship the Lord as a cover for your Satanic evilness?! Repent, demons! Although the darkness seems to engulf you it's never too late to turn to Jesus! For He truly loves all, no matter what their beliefs, lifestyles, or ethnicity!

    Nice to meet y'all, sugar.

It's good to see that others are aware of the dangers posed by goths, and how widespread the danger has become!

Joshua, you seem a very decent young man. Are y'all saved?

Honey, this ain't a forum for emos, goths, punks or such riff raff to talk about their sinning lifestyle and their latest satanic orgies and cutting fests, this is a place of the Lord. The only interest we have in such people like yourself and all the other hellbound goths is saving their soul.

And no, that's not what Goth is about. It's not about gloom, misery, or blackness. I suppose in a way some of it's about death, but not in a bad way. Death is a very interesting subject and one that I have always been interested in. Death is both tragic and wonderful, both for many reasons. Celebrating death isn't necessarily a bad thing. Imagine a world such as the one we live in, but without death. An awful place that would be.

I know all the history of the ancients and i simplified goth to vampire lore but it is one known quality of being a goth (in case you didn't know).
Goth culture is the absence of light and laughter and it celebrates gloom and misery and blackness and death. I know a lot about it. I am often in the city of this fads origin...London.
Try that attitude with me at our blog and you would find yourself tossed over to the side quickly. We do tremendous research on all our topics often talking to people who have been caught up in the fad and counter cultures.

In other words sunshine...we talk to the source.

One does not have to live by one's heritage to be proud of it. I am extremely proud of my German heritage (and before anyone cracks any Nazi jokes: Hitler was Austrian).

And while London may be the origins of many things, many things have become lost or corrupted throughout the years. Look at emo. Emo started as an offshoot of punk. It was punk with love put into it. It had nothing to do with whining, being depressed, or cutting. 'Tis a shame that so many things be lost in society's confusion.

I do hope you have the nads to thank these fine people for putting up with you?

Wrong. Goth has nothing to do with vampires and you're extremely ignorant for thinking so. And why do you mention emo music? Goth has nothing to do with emo. And did I say that Goth comes from the Germanic tribe? No I did not.

The Goths eventually divided into the Visigoths and Ostrogoths. So to say Goth, when speaking of history, is to mean Goths before they divided. And to say Visigoth is to mean one of the groups that Goths divided into.
