That picture is supposed to represent the two sides of the brain, the one side being responsible for things like creativity and art and the other being responsible for things like logic and analysis.

If this is how godly people behave, I am sure glad I am an atheist. Who would ever want to find god and go to heaven with a bunch of rude people who hate everyone except white American males that hate everyone? You're more like to make people go from being Christian to atheist than you are to help people to find god. Have you ever heard of the phrase "you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar"? Clearly not, perhaps you need to rethink how to be a good person, someone with common decency.

God would definitely prefer atheists to modern evangelical christians.

Evos just seem to sit around thinking about the (after)life and praying they don't end up somewhere bad in it, and doing nothing particularly worthy other than trying to indoctrinate people into their cult of sitting around praying. Atheists on the other hand tend to make more of their lives as they believe this is the only chance they will get to make the world (the only thing we have) a better place. I wish I was one.

Well, my life has purpose because I give it purpose. I live to experience life. I have goals that I have set for myself, such as to have a family, raise kids, and above all enjoy life. I do not believe my purpose on this earth is to worship a self-centered, hateful god that you profess to be the creator of us all. What kind of god would create an entire race of humans, be they black, white, asian, man, woman, etc, and then say that anyone other than white male is unfit to be a true christian? What you profess to be the truth bears no logic. Christianity, well, I did grow up Christian. I went to church twice a week, I read my bible, kept a journal, yet it never gave me the happiness and the joy that living as an atheist has. I can't believe that a god would profess to love us yet deny us happiness so that we may worship him.

Nobody wants to be here, but nobody wants to leave. Most atheists can attest to that. I personally am not exactly an atheist, but close enough for your understanding. What I don't understand is how you can be satisfied with so simple an explanation. Doctrine is dry. It lacks beauty. The Bible IS beautiful, but few Evangelicals really appreciate that beauty for what it is, simply because they fear it.

Where do I find my reason to remain on earth? Because I enjoy being part of the chaos.

And my life is certainly not empty. I have the love of my family, the love of my friends, the love of my pets, and the love of my fiance. I have the privilege to go to college and learn. I have my hobbies to entertain me, my pets to keep me company, and a job that I work at and succeed in. Once I graduate I can get married to the man I love, raise children, and proudly watch them learn and grow. I have much to live for and look forward to.
