You should indeed just take it at face value. Bobby-Joe is a very plain-spoken man. Again, I really don't see the problem.

Friend, at Landover we care deeply about welcoming newcomers into the Love of Christ. Unless they're accursed God-mockers or filthy Catholic swine or something like that.

Interesting. Our Pastor Billy-Reuben is a native of North Carolina.

Sorry for any offence caused, but we have had an invasion of Wii-fanatics barging into our forums to attack Christ lately, so we have to be on our guard.

That quote is a vicious lie. As the Bible makes perfectly clear, God does indeed punish people for living too near the unrighteous. Perhaps you should ask the citizens of New Orleans whether their neighbours' unbelief hurt them.

Friend, just because the poor man's a Belgian, there's no need to be patronising. Well, not that patronising, anyway.

Good point. If we keep on allowing Democrats and feeble-headed women to sissify our children and feed them soy, we'll end up with a generation of emo fags on our hands, and how will we win the War on Terror then? I like the cut of your jib.

    Same to you.
Someone who did not regard me with contempt! Many thanks for the apologies Brother Temperance, but it was not yourself that offended me and so you should not feel down on that which you did not do.

And now that I think about it. My original post was not so much a literal and purposeful statement or question. Well, it was not so meaningful as to actually question the sincerity of your beliefs or anything like that, moreover, it was a mechanism I designed to allow me an introduction with optimized results within the forum.

I apologize for putting anyone on edge, rereading my post I did sound a little foolhardy and pretentious. But I'll make these statements again.

I do not play video games.
I am employed with what I view to be noble work.
I have noble intentions within these forums.
I do read, I do converse and I do think.
I feel no negative feelings towards anyone who's thus far made my acquaintance here, despite being mocked and ridiculed, while at the same time assumptions are being made about my character.

This statement I will make for the first time:

I do admire the lack of timidity in your following of your beliefs and it is in a sense very brave of you seeing as that, I don't know an exact figure but I'll guess somewhere at 99.99% of people on earth are not at equals with you. People these days just SETTLE for a status quo relationship with God.

I say, if you want to be in Heaven, earn it!
"The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." - Thomas Jefferson, Notes on the State of Virginia (1782).

      Praise! Well-said!

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
