So what's your evidence that any of this is going to happen? What prophecy are you referring to?

Christ is going to come down from Heaven with a big sword poking out of His mouth and resurrect all the dead then kill all the bad guys like you and throw them into fire forever while gathering the true believers to Heaven. We have actual evidence for this - not some far fetched nonsense made up by an angry person on a masturbation-break in his bedroom.

Laurence sorry for my spelling but at that time I was half asleep. Also sorry for getting off topic but no one is perfect.
Also it's not called American it's called english

Cranky "god" is not a reliable source because you can actually prove he exist there is not evidence to support that hypothesis, and his book the bible is not reliable because over the thousands of years it has existed it has edited and had things added to it that were not there in the first draft. A reliable sourse in my book would be, well let's say for example, an autobiography or a historical work of nonfiction with citation from people who actually lived through it.

A fitting remark in the "Are Athiestics stupid?" thread. God is the most reliable source imaginable. This makes me wonder what would be a "reliable source" in your book? Hitler? Donald Duck? Your gay parents?

All the while we Christians use the most reliable book from the most reliable source: 2nd Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"

I know there are Atheists out there who seek to abolish religion. I seek to find a balance. Religion is important, it binds the masses and keeps people without direction pointed towards a proper path. However, not all of us need it.

Modern society chooses because we now reilize that rules such as: Don't wear clothes made of more than one fabric,Don't cut your hair nor shave,People who have flat noses, or is blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of God,Kill anyone with a different religion.,If a man cheats on his wife, or vise versa, both the man and the woman must die etc. are now too extreme or crazy to follow anymore

Don't you understand though that the bible was written by mortals(not god) thousands of years ago and between those times things have changed and now we relize that many of the things in the bible should not be followed because of the idiocy and extreme nature of some of the rules.
