But Down syndrome is not a lifestyle choice, it is a genetic predisposition. Every person afflicted with down syndrome has an extra copy of a chromosome (big bundle of DNA) know as Chromosome 21 (the 21st in a precession of 26). This affects how the cells in the body build themselves. Not only does this affect mental development, it also stunts physical growth (something people can't feign) and causes pudgy features in the afflicted's face (also something that can't be feigned).
    What rot.

If you choose not to apply yourself to education you grow up to be a dullard. If you do not exercise you will be a fatso. If you don't eat you green you will be a shorty.

Seems pretty simple, to me. And as Occam's blade is so fond of telling us: the easiest answer is ALWAYS right.

Swabbing your cheek is taking a cotton swab, rubbing the inside of your mouth, then thats it. Enough of you cells are in that sample of saliva that one can take a DNA sample. You don't have to cut yourself

Yypical liebral lie. Any peircing of the skin is just plain wrong. No where does God tell us that sticking needles into ourselves is a good thing.

"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh..." He does not say tiny ones are OK. Just like he never tells us anal sex is Ok "if you just penetrate with a little prick".

Friend, either you follow and listen to God or you do not and go to Hell. Again, where do YOU think that line in the sand is? God is pretty clear, if you actually read the Holy Bible.

Friend, every self induced (or done by others at your request) is a deliberate effort at mutilating Gods work.
    Leviticus 19:28
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.

    Deuteronomy 14:1
Ye are the children of the Lord your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

Tell me friend, where is that line in the sand? When does a single puncture added to the thousands of others make sense? God never has man cut himself or have others do it. When injury occurs though accident (really, retribution by Jesus) or through war, can damage to the human body be acceptable. Stealing a portion of a body to do demented 'scientific experiments' is sick and disturbing. I bet you are a fan of that Dahlmer guy too. Pervert!

Would your 'community' practice covering up the behaviours of predatory, gay paedophiles?

Or are you one of those who blames the victim while the priest gets quietly shifted to 'another parish'?

If exorcism fails, it is obviously a lifestyle choice rather than demonic possession. The fathers of these corrupt children should use God's wisdom and sell the females off as slaves. God put that rule there for a reason, and this would be a pious exercise of His Divine will. As the boy-children are being purposely disrespectful, stoning them is the option of choice. I would advise this not only for the sin of Down syndrome, but for Ass-Burglars as well. Personally, I think these parents have spared the rod far too much.

    Glory onto Him.

Re: Down syndrome is a lifestyle choice!

    To Dr Laurence Niles

You do have free will. This will that you have is kept because you have a normal conscious mind. But how this consciousness works depends entirely on the overall structure of the brain, which is dependent on the DNA which tells the body how to build the brain. Where the soul fits into this model, I do not know, but most people who receive brain injures tend to change in some way when it comes to personality or ability to learn. This would mean that either the souls overall structure and personality is dependent on the structure of the brain, or it has little say in what the body does.

    And to MitzaLisator

You did say that, but then you went on explaining about how one person got a dart inserted into their head and how that related to how they were tone deaf after that.

If we did have an x-ray done on Jacob's foot, we could not only determine whats wrong but persisely how to heal him. If say, the bone had a hairline fracture, then he would simply not have to walk on it for a week or two. If it was a normal fracture, he would have to be off it for a month or two. If it was a complete separation, then the bones would have to be reoriented so they grow back together. By taking measurments and observations, we can not stop the damage from having happened, but we can faster and more effectively repair the damage, or to prevent damage in the future. If say a hurricane storm surge over tops the walls of a coastal city, we take measurements to look for how the wall failed. Not because we think we can reverse it, but so that we can build the wall again without the weaknesses that it had before. That is how progress works, that is how we advance.

I did not "explain" anything of the sort. And I specifically addressed exactly the stuff you're regurgitating here. I will repeat it.
When God smites children there are those who'd get out the electron microscope and dream up names for the structures they observed, perhaps notice some irregularities or discuss chromosomes, whatever but none of that means that this wretch had not been smitten by God.

I posted that last August. Can you see how it relates to your comments (probably not, but perhaps someone else will)?

That was not the only example. Here's another one.
In GENESIS 32 we read that Jacob's wrestling partner despaired of daybreak and he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. KJV so in the morning people would be able to see him limping. An x-ray image would show where the joint was smitten, how the tendon had been damaged etc., but none of that would mean that Jacob had not wrestled and prevailed nor would it diminish the magnitude of the smiting. It would be no more necessary to x-ray Jacob's hip to know that to investigate beyond the "Down's" facial expression to know that God had indeed smitten them and in His Inerrant Word we are even informed why.

Can you see a pattern here (no, I know you can't but the principle remains)? When God destroyed the cities of the plain there would be people who might say "No, no, no that's not God smiting cities, that's all the bricks coming apart and the roads melting and brimstone gurgling down from the sky and all fire and stuff" which would not be any sort of revelation to anyone present would it. Those elements would be obvious. The revelation is that all the bricks coming apart and the roads melting and brimstone gurgling down from the sky and all fire and stuff, is sent by God as a punishment.

In the case of a demon possessed person, using x-rays or electron microscopy or taking biopsies or stool samples merely shows, with varying degrees of detail, what the demon is doing to the person. When God blasts descendants, perhaps at the 7th or 9th generation, saying "oh that's mosaicism" or "that's a harlequin baby" is not actually saying anything is it. We can see that. The fact of what God has done in no way diminishes the fact that He has done it. Just as He said He would.

And here is a picture of DNA taken with an electron microscope. Electrons, unlike light have very small wavelengths sometimes so they mike the perfect instrument for taking pictures of extremely small things. A nm is 1 billionth of a meter

And Mitza, you did provide some colorful pictures and did explain how damage to the brain can impede its functions, but that is not what down syndrome is.
You keep going on about DNA but did you realise that DNA has nothing to do with the soul?

It is the soul that makes us who we are and we have free will so saying DNA dictates the choices we make is like we have no free will and we know we have.

And that is the Good News(c). Through Jesus Christ we can recover from the choices we make and banish Satan from our soul!

2 Timothy 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

    Think about it.
