Yes, it is Harsha Shah here. Yes. I am now spending my time on summer holiday until August the 17 so I can be writing some more on the forum. Yes.
We were doing some RME that is religious and moral education with the children and still another question was surfacing regarding the scientific claims of the Bible. Yes. I am hoping that this does not offend you but some of the children were comparing the natural history of your gospels to our biology books and also doing some data searches and checking the information. Yes.
Your Bible is saying in the gospels of Matthew and Luke (Chapters 6 and 12, verses 26 and 24. The Matthew verse is stating "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?" and the Luke verse "Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?" Yes.
The children were reading the material and they came to me telling that birds are indeed storing food items and that these verses must then be wrong. I hope that I am not offending you.
They had been looking at some pictures and I have them here. These are woodpeckers storing food.

And this is the shrike storing food.

And also the raven is making stores for food. I have a quote here, raven wikipedia.
Yes. I am afraid that I might be offending you but this is a case where your bible is saying something but the birds are clearly not following its commandments. Yes. I am wishing you all a nice summer and hoping that someone will be finding the time to answer my questions, yes, but I am aware that if my questions are being offensive, it would be perfectly fine if you won't be answering them. Yes.

Ravens may also consume the undigested portions of animal feces, and human food waste. They store surplus food items, especially those containing fat, and will learn to hide such food out of the sight of other common ravens.
