In Freehold we have no parents complaining about "gay books" or books instructing children how to have sex. Any books in the library of Freehold Public Schools have been approved by the pastors of Landover Church.

But, across our state of Iowa, there are endless demands by parents to get porn out of local public schools. Parents are forced to read passages at School Board meetings so sinful it makes some mothers cry. A couple of men in the Iowa Legislature have said they will introduce laws giving jail time to teachers or librarians who approve of these porn books.

Of course, parents of homer children and children who think they have changed from boys to girls or visa versa come to these meetings to whine about banning books. "These books help children find themselves" is the phony line they use.

Even worse are liberal pundits who write blogs making light of banning books. They claim banning books make them more popular. This is really stupid. A successful ban stops the book from being printed and all copies are burned. How can a book be "popular" if not one can find it anywhere?

Banning sinful books is a serious business and people who do it should not be make fun of. Pox on anyone who tries to put down our faithful brothers and sisters in Christ.

This is long overdue, dear Brother Mayor Hold. For more years than I care to count, I have been a faithful advocate for the burning of sinful books at the libraries. When I was librarian at the local public library, I organized regular book-burning events. Long after the doors were shut for the night, I would be going through the bookshelves, rooting out inappropriate printed matter, to be thrown in the bin for the next bonfire.

We must be careful and aware at all times. During these, the end days before the return of the , the devil is working overtime — harder than ever — to corrupt young, impressionable minds.

I Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

It is my prayer that concerned parents and men of shall do their duty at this critical point in time!

Mr. Mayor, I know this is an issue that's been on your mind lately. I hope we will see some bold executive action in Freehold, especially at Christmas time. I think the most disappointing thing is that mockers from the future will create long lists of banned books and view them as a reflection on our contemporary society.

Banned books should be exactly that: gone, erased from history, kaput. I despair of a future world where they find naughty parts acceptable except in medical procedures. Let's keep these so-called "banned books" off the best seller lists by everyone buying their kids an approved picture book this year.

Mayors around the country have asked me to compile a record of Christian insults. A lady told me of seeing the Bible displayed right next to some dolls in rainbow outfits. The librarian obviously was trying to promote sin to any child who might take a look at the Bible.

I attach a photograph of the library at Landover Elementary taken in 1921. It was a place of peace, spirituality, and learning for any child who wished to study the Bible privately.

It was a convenience and a boon to children of parents in good standing. The latter could request that their child be allowed to approach a Senior Pastor for permission to read the library's Bible at the lectern at any time during the hours of daylight.

In 1944 another book was added but demand for it was slack and it was withdrawn in 1957. I think this speaks eloquently of the lack of any need for any "choice" in reading material.

There are so many different reasons to ban a book, it's hard to keep track:

- anti-Christian or blasphemous content
- pro-atheist, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Catholic, etc. content
- sex that is not one man with his one wife in the missionary position for the sole purpose of procreation
- materials that suggest that gays and other perverts should have equal rights
- content that suggests that America has ever engaged in bad conduct
- content condemning slavery, which is not condemned in the Bible
- content normalizing witchcraft or idolatry
- materials suggesting that poor people should be given more government assistance
- promotion of race-mixing
- materials suggesting that President Trump lost the 2020 election or that he is anything less than a model Christian

Honestly, it's too difficult for Christian parents to keep up. That's why the Casey Anthony Institute for Child Development at Landover Baptist University publishes an annual list of approved books. Parents should resist the inclusion of any book not on the approved list in the school curricula and school libraries.

Dear Brother Mayor Hold, that reminds me (and I had almost fogotten): in addition to the libraries that have huge piles of sinful books to appeal to the -bound, DEMON-rat crowd, what about VIDEO sections within the libraries?

I can remember when video-tapes of books and movies were available years ago. Now, of course, with technology being updated so quickly, the potential for vast video resources is frightening. Take, for example, the attached video that was found in a Manhattan library. It's this sort of thing that we must eradicate. It's high time that we did a thorough house-cleaning of all libraries across our nation. Anything that pertains to Satan's perverted pleasures must be removed — especially disgusting debauchery, like this!

The matter of books however has a long and Godly tradition. One detail often overlooked is how particular types of learning inhibit the spread of God's message. Titles are not given here but the source is mentioned and particular Greek philosophers are described by Paul as antithetical to The Gospel, elsewhere. Epicurus is one of them, suggesting Democritus and Aristarchus too, who certainly opposed God. Less ethical Greeks cooperated with certain Jews to cook up something likely to bolster their own gods, similarly under the screws, and what better expedient than to lift a handy monotheistic tradition right there in the Hellenistic world? Write it all up in Greek and flog it to the Romans (who were fond of Greek literature) maybe? Something was going on though which is reflected in Acts.

Whatever was in those books——and heathens who say “nothing in Acts is historical” nevertheless accede to the idea of fiction requiring verisimilitude——whatever was going on around that time PREVENTED the word of God from prevailing. The highlighted verse (19) describes cause and effect. So tells us that BECAUSE the books were burned, the word of God grew mightily and prevailed. Democritus, Epicurus and Aristarchus not so much.

Very often in libraries demonic possession is introduced through "art" as wall posters on some theme or other. Just as poisonous as books or film, these graphic works need to be identified, classified and where appropriate destroyed. Here are some "innocuous" examples to look out for. Cute art? Or the camel's nose!
