"Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds" -- 2 John 1:9-11

Re: A few questions...
No, we are NOT. You seem to grab onto one verse and think the entire Bible follows that same line, but it is because you are not a Biblical Scholar or a theologian or a pastor, and don't know. I am getting tired of your pedantic comments. We are ordered to kill those who don't accept Christ; to judge them, and to prepare for JESUS' return WHICH WILL BE FOR THE PURPOSE OF STARTING ARMAGEDDON AND KILLING ALL WHO DO NOT FOLLOW HIM!Originally posted by chrisrock View PostParents are definetly included in "all the world" and "every creature". Re: A few questions...
You've obviously not witnessed as long as we have son. Witnessing is a duty. The vile sinners I've had the misfortune to preach to have sometimes made me physically ill. The junkies, whores, junkie whores, losers, boozers, users, T.V. thieves, muggers, buggerers, misfits, dimwits, halfwits, etc. have been quite a challenge to my Faith, I can tell you that.
The stench alone of some sinners has filled my heart with hate on occasion. I can assure you that just because I was filled with the healing love of Jesus doesn't mean I was filled with love for the Hellbound scum to whom I was trying to spread His word.

Re: A few questions...
You disagree that witnessing is showing love? I find it obvious that showing people The One who can redeem them from satan and rescue them from eternity in hell is an act of love.

Re: A few questions...
It doesn't say anywhere in the KJV1611 that you must love all of those to whom you preach the word of God. You can hate someone before they accept Jesus and love them after they come to the Lord. It's pretty simple actually.

Re: A few questions...
Of course not! But they have to be True Christians™ if you are a True Christian™. My mother was a hippy slut who died of the hepatitis C. She wasn't even sure who my father was, so it was easy for me to hate my parents when I was Saved this last time.
It may be harder for you to hate your parents once you become a True Christian™, since you know who both of them are and I assume they are not filthy hippies.
But I wouldn't worry about that right now. You should worry about becoming a True Christian™ first, and worry about hating your parents after you've been Saved and been accepted in God's Favorite Church©!

Allow me to aproach the question("do I hate my parents?") from a different perspective. Is it a sin to love your parents?

There is no satire here at all. We preach the Bible EXACTLY as it is written, in context, nothing more and nothing less.Originally posted by logician View Posti understand that this site is a divine revelation, or a type of satire, but conductive to what? if you push people away from a lie such as you do very well, what do you push them to? truth is of a necessity. reality and the understanding of it and control over our own perceptions to create our own reality is vital to the advancement and progression of mankind as a whole. in what way are you producing positive results? pushing the already unbelievers further into disbelief without giving them substance and truth to feed on will only drown them. what is your intent?
If you live in an anthill, you have no perception of a man standing over you with a can of gasoline....you may see a shadow, but you can never grasp the man's intent or capabilities. Just so, many humans think they are the pinnacle of 'evolution', but cannot see JESUS who is no farther from you than a Bible.
We bring His word to those who care to hear it, and do not bother those who do not.

Re: A few questions...
Let's go back to the 'divine intervention' part. If you are transcribing a book on your computer and the author of the book is watching what you type, even YOU couldn't screw it up without getting a kabong upside your noggin. It's like a live wordprocessor with with the power, Glory and Majesty of GOD. Like Open Office compared to MS Word.Originally posted by logician View Postfalibility is somthing God doesnt know.
I suppose you are, in you own falible way, trying to write 'fallibility'.
anything physically produced by man whether it be by divine intervention or whether it just be a corporate production plant, it is in all senses of the word imperfect.

If you named yourself "grammarian", would your posts be as devoid of logic as they currently are of any kind of sense?Originally posted by logician View Postfalibility is somthing God doesnt know. falibility and failure is 100% accredited to man. man gets greedy, pious, and self righteous and attempts to interpret and write divine messages, and screws it all up. thus man is entirely incapable of producing perfection. when God attempts to work through man, man acts as a filter that strains out perfection, and thus the flaws of the 'human' touch taint all that would be perfect. anything physically produced by man whether it be by divine intervention or whether it just be a corporate production plant, it is in all senses of the word imperfect.
