I see alot of people on this fourm bashing obama for lead american into socialism. From what i read most of you see socialism as some "evil" i simply ask.......why? why do you see it this way

Since you're just a teenager, I'm going to guess that you've never had a job in your life, much less are you capable of comprehending the true evil of the communist lifestyle. You don't even respect America (God's favorite country!) enough to capitalize it properly!

I said that both the US and Canada have been marching toward socialism for decades.

However, socialism itself is not tightly defined, other than "between capitalism and communism".

"Basically socialist" means "in essence, socialist".

"The house is basically red" does not mean that the house is purple. It means that for all intents and purposes, the house is red . . . or that nearly all of the house is red.

Are all you Canucks so imprecise in your language, or are you just particularly stupid?

Canada has basicly a socialist goverment and we are nothing like the people from Europe. Also america has techno music, gay teenagers ,nude beaches and all that so that can not be linked to socialism.

Socialism goes against the Puritan work ethic that has made the USA into the great nation that it is today. Americans live and die by their own work, not by the work of someone else. If a man wants to be rich, then he will have to work his rear end off to achieve his goals. If we are just working to support our fellow countrymen and women, then what point is there to work hard? Why be innovative and work vigorously so that some heathen down the street can live comfortably?

Ya but socialism does not take away that "hard work get rich" method u talk about. Really you are a pro-captiolist (which is understandable) but put you selfs in the shoes of the people who own 10,000 dollars because they came down with cancer our can't work because of sickness? Should you not help out your common man?

Ever heard of a place called "Europe"? It's the birthplace and stronghold of socialism, or as they call it, "social democracy". Now look at what socialism has done to Europe: unshaved women, fruity teenagers who are entranced by techno "music", nude beaches, haggis and snails and frogs legs, ABBA....

Is that what you envision for America? Sweden with a summer?
