Yes, we good Christians (Republican, Baptists) are blind to race now. Justice Thomas has complemented us many times on the fair and balanced forum we run here.

I am really disappointed we are being accused of racism in this day and age. I thought we moved beyond that.

I like to know the guy doing my dry cleaning is happy, as I do want it done right.
I want gas pumped and a pack of smokes at two AM done right by a person who knows leagally, I could put a 9mm in them and no one would notice.
I have to have a good accountant who is funny to look at.
I have to have happy comrades to give teh US a place to test fire weapons on and sell substandard stuff to.
We have to have a place where they talk funny, we nod, they smille as we slide in another clip.
We need a country fill of happy sheeple that thinks we like them to use for a base when we take over all of EU in a few more years.

Now, if this is problem, let me know. My daddy used to say "Happy workers don't steal as much'.

The Smileys this board uses are very racist!!! Why do you assume everybody posting is white? When an African-American person like me makes a post and wants to smile and does this: it is discriminatory against me.

Forgive me if my response to your prior post comes late, Mr. Washington; however, you must understand that I am currently writing this message on very little sleep.

No Mr. Washington, suffice it to say, I have not forgotten, good sir.

It is my opinion that Mr. Colin Powell used to be an upstanding patriotic, Conservative, Christian man, up until he betrayed his country and the administration he worked for, not to mention his God. I don't believe I need to go into great detail about this, as you don't sound to me to be a man who is ignorant of the political events that have occurred in the recent past concerning the matter. Now I don't find fault with Mrs. Condoleezza Rice, as I am not aware of any instances lately where she has spoken out of turn against the greatest administration that this country has seen since the 1980’s, which represents the golden age of U.S. patriotism and religious fervor. Please feel free to inform me of any changes in the facts that I have been using to base my opinion of her on.

Now, as for the adjective that I used in my last post, which you seem to show a degree of disdain for; I will remind you sir, that on quite a few posts, other members, myself included, have used much more unflattering language to describe or generalize other non-African American ethnicities, but I have yet to hear a protest from either Professor Tyeisha X or yourself regarding their use. Instead, much discussion has been preoccupied with little, funny-looking, smiley faces, which our members have been using to spruce up their posts or garner certain predictable reactions.

Now, if you feel the need to call me out as a prejudice bigot or maybe you believe that my words or opinions require a harsher label, then that is your right, not only as an American, but as a free thinking human being. But let me just say this, Mr. Washington; whether motivated by an action or rationalized as a reaction to a previous action; prejudice, bigotry, and, even racism, are as common in all people, regardless of color or creed, as apathy, complacency, and hypocrisy.

That was a lot to digest Sir. I will address the comments I feel to be pertinent.

If you were following the thread I am sure you must have made note that I gave stern rebuke to "Professor X" for her racist and radical views. I personally am a strong fiscal and social conservative. If it were not for the color of my skin you would probably encourage me to fun for public office as a Republican. I know this from personal experience, but I choose not to delve into that sordid field.

As for the adjectives used to describe both myself and Professor X, they are indeed offensive. Professor X came here with a grudge so it isn't surprising that the discourse degenerated into name calling on both sides. When those adjectives are turned on me, yes I do feel offended, but it is not my nature to respond in kind. I feel that the best thing I can do to combat this latent racism is to conduct myself in a calm and dignified manner. I restrain from replying in kind, but I am human and I sometimes can stray from the path I try to walk.

As for smiley faces, I think they are silly and immature.
