Re: Nominations for Freehold Man of the Year

It would be nice if we could get Dick Cheney or Sarah Palin to give the keynote speech at the Freehold Man of the Year Dinner. For entertainment, I'd like to nominate Up With People!.....

or the edgy Contemporary Christian stylings of Skillet....

These artists have Zing, Zork, Kapowza, call it what you want, in any language it spells Mazooma in the bank!

In that case, I'd like to nominate that little Hawkins boy who just went into the hospital with that condition the doctors claimed was "terminal". I'm confident that God only blessed him with that affliction so the Godly Pastors can perform a good old-fashioned faith healing for us. When he miraculously recovers thanks to our prayers, it sure will be a mighty testament to God's Love. What better Freehold Man of the Year could there be?

    I Nominate Mr. Dick Cheney!
He does not live in Freehold

I'm not nominating, just sticking around, hoping this will remind others of who should be the obvious winner.

Sister how can we regular Christians compare to a Pastor or a Reverend? Think of it like this, if say Phebe and yourself where to enter the Miss Universe contest, how would the other women compete? It would be quite unfair.

Brother Nobar is a great nomination--- he has done so much over the past year with the Zoning Commission and the Citizen's Police Advisory Board to get W. Main Street cleaned up and to crack down on the Nigra loiterers!! I believe that the flower boxes and planters on Veterans Highway and Davis St. were his work, as well.

He has been blessed by God, for he is a special creation in God's eyes. He is God's personal representative on Earth, and Jesus uses this special, superior man to spread the Gospel to the inferior masses like you.

This man will be remembered in history books. He has done more to advance the Word of God more than anybody since the time of Paul. He is assured a place in Heaven and the most perfect example of a human being ever created. Yet despite his superhuman essence, he remains very humble about it all.

I nominate myself, Rev. Jim Osborne.
    Erm...

    Reverend Jim,

While the above is undoubtably the truth and if able I would have seconded the above nomination(if multi noms were allowed), it appears that the rule is: Reverends and Pastors cannot be nominated.

Quite a blow for us all I can assure you.

    YIC,

    Sister Phebe.

I would like to second Sister Charli's nomination for my wonderful fiancee, James Dewitt.

Apart from being just the most wonderful man I have ever met (apart from Jesus of course), he has also made a mass contribution to the city of Freehold with his multiple business ventures which in turn, has helped Freehold become the Godly Christian Community the Lord intended it to be. He is the opitomy of a True Christian™ in my eyes.

    Sister Phebe.

If only there were a man in Freehold decent enough to merit the title of Man of the Year.

I just want to put in a little nomination from down under (even tho I know the earth is flat - but it does appear often that we feel like we are at the bottom of the world and clinging on by our toes!) in Australia for Mr Dewitt Brother James for bringing so much joy and happiness to our most gorgeous Sister Phebe Wintersnow.

How many are we allowed to nominate?

Can I also put in a nomination for Brother Grogan living in this ungodly hell hole called Australia and still managing to live a True Christian™ life. Brother Grogan may not be a Freeholdian and as such may not be eligible for the "Freehold" man of the year, and if that is the case can I nominate him for the Landover Baptist Man of 2010? Should there be such a thing.

But deep down. I know that the REAL man of the year must go to my Daddy. No truer Christian could you ever meet. God bless ya Daddy. I love ya.
