    That is impressive Wash!
Unbelievable almost. So you can not only change my name, my avatar, but also my posts?!

If I wasn't so naive I'd say you have an unfair advantage...

Re: Important question regarding possible Damnation...

There is a reason Latin is called a dead language. It's because Catholics who choose it for their usernames are DEAD TO CHRIST!

        ----

But yes, let us discuss the Holy Mother Church. Return with me now to the early summer of 1098, and the dusty heat of Syria. The walled city of Antioch, to be precise.

The Catholic army had camped outside the walls of the city for a year, praying to God and killing whatever Musselmen they could lay their hands on (in the name of Jesus' merciful love). They endured famine, cold and heat. But with the spring they were able to resupply, and morale improved.

June second dawned cloudless and warm. The Crusaders organized a sortie to confront a Muslim army marching to relieve the city...but it was a feint. Suddenly the Crusaders surged toward the city walls, while traitors inside Antioch opened the city gates. The Catholics stormed inside. And then they started killing.

They killed pretty much every Muslim they found -- women and children included, of course. (That was the common practice in Catholic holy wars, as it was in the Rwandan genocide.) Historical sources put the toll at about 100,000.

Not too bad for a bunch of Jesus-lovers with fairly primitive weapons!

But let's not take this as an isolated incident. Next year, 1099, the Catholics killed 70,000 Muslim civilians in the Siege of Jerusalem.

Catholicism is a real Christian faith all right. Clearly it is founded on the mercy and brotherly love preached by Jesus.

Mind you, the Muslims came back on the Crusaders with a vengeance, massacring them just about as unmercifully as the Catholics had slaughtered the Muslim civilians. And strangely enough, God did not seem especially interested in protecting the Catholics. It seems He pretty much turned His face away from them, abandoning them as doomed to Hell.

Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. Psalm 5:6

So that's the case with Catholicism: a religion hopelessly damned by bloody men, a false sect which lost the true path long ago. A congregation headed for the Pit.

        ----

We Baptists, on the other hand, are the True Chosen People. We are the new race of God's people, described by theologian Rousas Rushdoony:

"By His birth of God, and of the Virgin Mary, Jesus Christ is head of the new race, as the new Adam, to provide earth with a new seed to supplant the old Adamic race. As the second and last Adam, Christ undoes the work of the first Adam and begins the dispossession of the fallen race from the world and the re-establishment of the earth as the Kingdom of God under His new race."

For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. Psalm 37:22

The cursed of God, such as the Catholics, shall indeed be cut off!

        Praise ye the LORD!

Again, wonderful spelling. And why do you care so much for Senator Clinton's clit, pastor?

And, on a side note, why, if you are anti-homosexuality, does Wash keep a pair of President Eisenhower's underwear under his pillow at night?

          Think of this, Wash.

          You're driving the nails deeper.

Also, OEJ, remember that the Crusades were 1000 years ago. And if God hates us so much, why no fire and brimstone?

Yes, it was 1000 years ago the Catholic Church became a false path. (If not earlier.) Why in the world are Catholics still following a 1000-year-old folly?

              Beats me.

Seems like if a religion has been going wrong for that long it takes a real nutcase to follow it. Ah, well. Satan works his wonders in the Vatican; God is saddened thereby, but you guys have freewill despite your Catholic determination to abuse it.

The fire and brimstone part comes after you die and are sent to Hell, of course. Any child knows that. You live in sin, then you die, then you go to Hell. D'oh.
