Lycia, desperate times require desperate measures. Few of our Male Elders seem to be taking this matter seriously, so we just have to jump in and help Brother Hutchins pick up the slack. This is James we're talking about!

Do you want to fly with us to the monestary on Wed., or do you need to look after the DeWitt operations here?

And do I need to find one of those burqa things? Isn't that what they wear over there in China? (It might actually make a good disguise, if I wear dark glasses under it, too.)

    Dearest Brother Benedict,

As a mere woman, this is entirely over my head. I've been keeping silent because this is an issue only the True Christian(tm) menfolk are capable of handling.

I'm sure if I did anything my empty-headed actions would only mess things up.

Hoping you understand and Your's in Christ,

    Lycia

If there's no other choice, let's go on Wednesday...at least we can get a good look at him for ourselves and suss out the situation, and leave a deposit. Also hammer out a final figure. And then maybe we could set up ONE more trip where we drop off the full amount, "Take It Or Leave It"...or else they'll just draw the whole thing out?

    What do you think?

Everyone: I'm putting together a care package of real American foods for him. Anyone who wants to drop something off, the guesthouse is open. Just park in the back, but watch the flowerbeds.

PRAISE GOD™ someone is taking this situation seriously!

But "wiring" the funds is dangerous. No assurances they'll let James go And they'll probably use the money to get all hopped up on drugs and start shooting up the place.

I think we should use one of Brother DeWitt's planes to fly over there personally and do the exchange. I'll go...and I'll bet Lycia would, too. This operation is going to require top secrecy.

PS: Cancel the Rev. Osborne lunch. He can come to my place instead and I'll feed him something. He always nods off and takes a long nap after eating, anyway. I'll serve stew and dumplings or something heavy so he'll hurry up and konk out.

I do not know what is being planned behind closed doors, but I believe every effort must be made to liberate Brother DeWitt. His head is surely cloudy from all the MSG they are feeding him, as I bet they survive on Chinese TakeOut over there.

Don't worry about the Church losing funds! James can make everything back once he's safely home. That man is a financial wizard!

I have left many messages with Polly at the Church offices and so far none of the pastors and male elders have called me back. Getting James out of satan's yellow, fish-breathed claws should be our Priority #1. If the men refuse to take action, do not be surprised if the women of Landover band together and plan a rescue of their own. Do you know how many menstrual huts he has gifted we womenfolk with, when the rest of you were content to let us freeze without heat, hot water, etc? REMEMBER JANINE!

Ask yourself this: Where will you all be without pies?

Do not make me sell my jewelry!

I can't really tell from the picture but is that Brother Dewitt's wrist watch?

I didn't just fall off the turnip truck.
I have no idea where you got the idea Mr. Dewitt was kidnapped. It is abundantly clear, he is where ever he is in China at a monastery of his own free will. God gave him the ability to chose how and where he will live. It is not up to us to interfere. Now please, let's just let this entire sordid mess go away quietly.
