This is a longer than normal post, as I feel you can take in quite a lot of information at one go:
Did you see the challenge? Pastor Billy-Reuben doesn’t give away money lightly. Our knowledge was deceptively given to us by satan through the gullibility of womankind. Although the Tree of Knowledge grew in Eden, Adam was forbidden to eat of the fruit, God’s word being sufficient for immortality.
We all know what happened.
Now we here at Landover believe that God’s Word, in its entirety (including the bits that make the novice wince) are to be followed. We also accept that nothing more is required.
Scientists who work towards a confirmation of God’s Word are doing a good job, but the point is, (a) if they prove God’s Word, they have only re-stated that which is in the Bible and we have not progressed and (b) if they state things that are contrary to the Bible, they are stating falsehoods. It is those latter scientists who would attempt to discredit God’s Word.
The difficulty is distinguishing which scientists are which. The scientists who produced Thalidomide… were they good? But imagine being there, as I was, at the time of the discovery and hearing how Thalidomide would help our womenfolk not have morning sickness.
Now God had cursed Eve and said that childbearing would be hard, and here were scientists making it easy, contrary to God’s Word.
You name me a drug, produced by scientists, that does not have side effects… it’s not possible.
To refresh you on the point I made above; you said you were going to be a police officer; a fine profession requiring understanding, self-discipline and an understanding of humanity and one where the right man can do a great deal for his fellow man… but does it require a knowledge of the Large Hadron Collider? No.
The guys who run the LHC all have PhDs – that is usually 8 years of study after they have got top marks from their school and even they don’t understand it, otherwise why all these experiments?
What chance have we of understanding it? And if we are never going to understand it, what’s the point of doing it and more to the point, how do we know if they aren’t just wasting their time?
Would the Bible help you as a police officer – why yes! The 10 Commandments are the very basis of the law.
This is why we say, the Bible (KJV) is the only guidance anyone needs.
You say that God didn't mention Computers or the Internet in the Good Book. God knows all, understands all and can see all, why would he need a computer or the Internet? Messages were usually sent by angels or directly to a prophet. In this we see a parallel in messages sent to our computers; a Godly tool, without which the Millions and Billions of the Unsaved could not come to hear the LBC.
I will post pictures, as soon as I can get my hands on a scanner. Besides, who says technology can't advance?
