It is said that if the Bible could have been written by man, then it wouldn't have, but if it would have, then it couldn't have. It contains many truths that men just wouldn't include had it been made up, such as talking snakes/donkeys (Gen 3; Numbers 22), floating axeheads (2 Kings 6:1-7), the sun standing still (Joshua 10:13), and pi equaling 3 (I Kings 7:23)

But God's ways are higher, and thus, God's Book is still influencing the entire world while loud-mouthed atheists are putting out treatise after treatise and making no difference. I pity all atheists. Go ahead and mock. You will fail as always.

    This is exactly right.

In my short time here, I've seen too many atheists argue from an empty starting position. Their arguments aren't based on anything like the Bible -- in fact their arguments are entirely baseless.

The problem with arguing from nowhere is that nothing comes from nothing. They completely ignore the fact that if the Bible wasn't true, they wouldn't even be here to argue in the first place!
But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy. (2 Chronicles 36:16)

When I look at the word "atheist"; I can't help but thinking that with a few changes it would say "what is this"? Which is all they frigging do.

What's this; what's that; why does this happen...

On and on and on. Shut the hell up for Christ's sake. You drive me nuts and I hate you. You're like women, you just keep yapping about nothing with not an ounce of sense to what you say. You're gonna tell me something that happened six billion years ago when you don't even have a book signed by God to prove it?

I have that book. I know the score and I know the facts. You want me to believe you instead of a Great man like Jesus Christ who by rubbing dirt on your eyes and spitting in your face can make a blind man see?

Atheist's can rot in hell. I've never met anything as demonic in my life.

The sad thing is, the ones who come here and adamantly deny it are the ones doing the most profoundly dangerous, dysfunctional, psychopathic, deviant things with their day! You know how they say the people who deny something the most vigorously are the ones hiding the very thing they deny!

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I share your frustration, brother. Sometimes it overtakes us. But it's good to know that Godly men of conviction such as yourself are unwavering and will be there to call out the accusers of the brethren (Rev. 12:10) when they whine and complain.

I would invite you to open your mind a bit. The assumptions on atheists made by this forum are incredible. Atheists are normal people. We are kind. We are tolerant. If you'd like to have a real conversation (not argument) with me, please reply. If you ban me, you have simply shown that you are less tolerant than I.

Why would anyone ban you simply for having a different opinion? That sounds a bit paranoid, dear.

Anyway, these are not mere assumptions, but first hand accounts.

What is it like for you to be an atheist? Do you really have no sympathy for homosexuals, for example? Or do you have sympathy, but have learned to suppress it?

People aren't banned for being atheists...they are banned for not following the rules, one of which is to make a thread of your own in the Introduction Forum.

                    Oops.

I have never cheated on a girlfriend. I'm very happy in life. I am a morally good person.

Man does not inherently have morals, or at least he doesn't have any consistency thereof. True morals were established by God over the course of the Bible, and include over 600 easy-to-follow instructions.

When man decides on what is moral and what is not moral you end up with Charles Manson, Pol Pot, the Beatles, Andres Breivik, Jimmy Carter and Albert Fish. Or do you honestly believe that THEIR morals have as much validity as GOD'S morals?

First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. We're right and you're wrong, according to Jesus and the Holy Word of God. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself.

Pastor, with all due respect, the title of this thread is "What is it like to be an atheist?" I have to assume that this is a legitimate question. Therefore, I simply wished to give my view and what it is like for me to be an atheist. I would hardly consider that a debate. I would call that attempting to answer a question.

I am not asking for an apology. It does not bother me in the slightest that my posts are "unsaved trash." Once again, I simply thought that I would give you the view of a real atheist since that is what it seems the thread is looking for.

I am not here to flame. If you consider any of my posts impolite, I am sincerely sorry, however I believe I have acted in a civil manner here.

I have NEVER heard such blatant arrogance towards a Pastor

You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
