O my brethren, today I am filled with joy. On this day a little over 2000 years ago Lord Jesus rose from the dead. The TOMB is empty! God lives!
As we sit down to our Easter dinner of succulent ham and creamy mashed potatoes and quivering jello salad and yams in cream and apple pie, we -- as good Christians -- should spare a thought for those less blessed than ourselves.
Those who struggle in darkness. Without shelter, without food. Who live in dirt and degradation, wracked by disease and disfigurement.
If those damned heathen bastards converted to Christianity then they could be eating ham and pineapple upside-down cake too! So it's all their own fault.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:15,16
And so Jesus was taken up to Heaven, where He keeps a keen eye on mankind.
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. Mark 16:19
Amen. The Lord is risen.
