Oh Jesus was my Valentine
As He was bleeding on that knotty pine
He cleansed my heart with His Blood
And suddenly I felt a flood
Of peace and love and joy and cheer
Contentment sweet, His Spirit Dear
Yes Jesus was my very special Valentine

Although my gift will certainly lack
The dedication He showed to people
On the cross that appears on every steeple
