Republicans have a brilliant strategy just now. They talk daily about Democrats who are socialists and that socialists become Communists. They have Democrats running for cover.

There is one nasty theme Democrats are using and we need to put that to rest right here. It is that Trump is using taxpayer funds to buy up private companies. He is buying some each week. Republicans need to explain why this is not socialism.

Trump is buying up private companies to save Capitalism. Just think of what can happen to capitalism if brilliant management is brought in to run each company. Companies will thrive and so will Capitalism. The person to run these companies and save Capitalism is none other than Donald Trump. With the Federal Government owning a majority of shares, "shareowners" will elect him as the corporation President. Trump knows how the run businesses. He bought Intel. Its stock has fallen but soon we will see a rebound. Trump bought an airline and then casinos. Unscrupulous competitors closed these but the brilliance the firms experienced during these brief periods shows the talent this man has.

The discernment of President Trump shows through every day. He gave a speech to evangelicals yesterday and warned them that if Godless Communists take over the U.S. they will close churches. Here, President Trump is showing discernment within the Christian community. He is combining Godless Communists with Catholics. Russia, including Putin, are Catholics. I've heard them called "Orthodox," whatever that means. Catholics are Catholics. Trump is explaining that if Russia takes over the U.S., Godly churches like Landover Baptist will be closed. Catholics will tear us down. That is frightening.

This country needs to stand up and defend Donald Trump. Without him, churches will be destroyed.

I just learned former President Obama has not invited President Trump nor offered a prime speaking spot in the program to open the Obama Center. President Trump has wisely decided not to attend. After being insulted by not being offered to prime speaking spot, it is very appropriate to just skip the event. Fromer Presidents Biden, Bush and Clinton will be there, who wants to make small talk with Presidents who were not worthy. We can give W. Bush lots of praise but now his stock has fallen.

Trump set up Iowa for a victory in its U.S. Senate seat. Democrats voted in a sure loser, Josh Turek. You can bet President Trump was playing with the minds of less intelligent Democrats to make this guy their nominee.

The press, as usual, is missing or not understanding the big issue between President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamen Netanyahu, known as Bebe. Bebe bombed one of his enemies which turned out to be a friend of Iran. President Trump is trying to make a peace deal with Iran and the press claimed that was why he is so angry with Bebe. Is the press right about this?

No. President Trump is angry that Bebe's Jews killed Jesus. The conversation was profanity filled. Trump would not be that angry over bombing some nothing country. He does this himself often. I hope Bebe got the message and we will see an apology soon.

I'm sure we all remember the corrupt William Magear Tweed, who, with his “Tweed ring” cronies, systematically plundered New York City of sums estimated at between $30 million and $200 million.He became a state senator in 1868 and also became grand sachem (principal leader) of Tammany Hall that same year. Tweed dominated the Democratic Party in both the city and the state and had his candidates elected mayor of New York City, governor, and speaker of the state assembly.

We're seeing something very remarkable in our history. Recall that when the Roman dictator, Constantine, found Jesus, Paganism started to decline. A political leader's religion has clout.

President Trump has been reluctant to share his walk with Jesus, but things may be changing. Recently, he was asked why he lost California. He knows he got all the Hispanic votes. As he said, "Hispanics love me."

Trump said that if Jesus had come down to count the votes he would have won. If other politicians evoked Jesus, we might have our doubts. But the President sounds sincere. I think he is seeing Jesus more than ever and we are going to hear about it.

I just finished reading President Trump's Easter message. It's beautiful. He reads from the Gospel of John that evil shall not prevail. That, of course, refers to Iran and his bombing campaign there. It is an appropriate scripture for Easter 2026. I hope the President has a blessed Easter.

Reporters have noticed that when Ken signs autographs he uses a pen

What do they expect? Obviously he's not going to face a gaggle of "reporters" with his good pen. Let's face it, they'll write just about anything to sell their rag and autograph hunters would steal your pen given half a chance. They probably have a display case for such trophies. I didn't know pens we're available at so low a price (probably just gold plated or some sort of lacquer finish) but regardless of that, here is certainly an example of discernment, not bringing valuable items among the hoi polloi, doubly so since it removes the temptation of its being stolen.

I have sympathy for both of these men. Sometimes it's hard to remember how many houses you have.

President Trump has used sound discernment in the Texas race for the U.S. Senate. For those not following that race I'll summarize:

Two Christians are seeking the Republican primary endorsement. One is the current Senator from Texas, John Cornyn. He is being challenged by a MAGA Trump loyalist, Ken Paxton. Sen. John Cornyn has not voted with President Trump 100% of the time and does not deserve the President's endorsement. His challenger, a wealthy and devoted MAGA man, Ken Paxton, deserves a Trump endorsement but that has not been forth coming. The reason may be because Ken had an affair and his wife, a State Senator, is divorcing him. And then there are the three huge houses the Paxton's own. On mortgage applications Ken called each house their "primary residence." There is some rule against doing that. Reporters have noticed that when Ken signs autographs he uses a pen the cost him $1,000 and they make a fuss about that.

Senator Cornyn's staff just issued an ad claiming Ken Paxton has violated three of the Ten Commandments. While President Trump will not endorse, he could help Texas Republicans by scolding them for inserting religion into this campaign.
