But there you have admitted it; fear is no reason to believe something! If someone held a gun to your head and said kill this man or else I will kill you would you do it out of fear? It is the same thing the bible is holding hell up to you saying believe in me or suffer for all eternity! That is not something I could ever condone or put my faith in! Never trust something if you can’t see where it keeps its brain! Instructions for what? How to be a good person? I can honestly say the Christians who have posted on this topic could not teach me a thing about that! I am learning as I go I do not need anyone to guide me, unfortunately life isn't that easy. I believe what makes sense to me, what sums up what I personally believe in my head. I don't talk to God; you can't ask it for guidance to me it doesn't work like that. It is a comforting feeling to know beauty and creation is all around but that is it. I feel it gives me good perspective in life and helps show me the true insignificance that we are and still be comforted in the face of death. I will live my life the best I can and honestly that is none of your concern. If I were here preaching hate then it would be, I don't hate Christians or any specific religion but when people start talking in terms of the holocaust I do get offended! It is a horrible thought that people could feel people should be treated like animals for there believes. I admit atheists are not innocent either but they do not deserve what you suggest!

I laughed. Out loud. This is the most ridiculous page I have ever seen in my life. I am all for people believing what they will SO LONG as they are acceptant of others! It is called tolerance and you people are supposed to be preaching it! I wont give you bible references or whatever, I know you will reply "you cant back this or that up with the bible" but the bible is just a book written by men! I think the importance is in how people interpret it and being raised in a Catholic school I do have a pretty good idea of what your religion is about! This is prejudice...simple. It is you lot talking as though you are going to start a holocaust against the atheists? (Boycotting their shops, "the final solution", avoiding them in the street, knowing if they live near) all of these things were part of being a Jew during Hitlers reign and now Christians who say their religion is peaceful and perfect and right want to do these things to others: / This is becoming less of a "Wow you guys believe in God your dumb" argument and more of a "Wow I just lost so much respect for the Christian community". Plus to whoever said that living next to a sex offender was better than an atheist, no they would not only marry your daughter at worst. They could rape her, kidnap her, kill her, harm her, torture her etc. Not to mention to do these acts they would probably be an atheist headed for hell anyway! Religion has nothing to do with who you converse and speak with! Everyone here is sick and giving such a bad reputation to the other good and accepting Christian communities out there! I would like to point out that I already stated clearly I am not an atheist but I am still utterly bemused as to why you would think being an atheist makes you a whore or a devil worshipper? I know plenty of Catholics who spread their legs and wasn't jesus’ friend Mary a prostitute? So maybe you are being nice and I just don't understand :/ No if I was really set on killing or stealing I honestly do not think fear would hold me back, I don't do it because I have morals and I understand a) Stealing something I don't own is wrong and unfair to the rightful owner and b) I have absolutely no right to take the life of another. Fear has no part in it as should be obvious from the thousands who commit these crimes each year. To live your life in a way because you’re scared of what may happen if you object is cowardly, however if you act that way because you believe it is true then it is much better! However in regards to Mary I mean Mary Magdalene one of the main female figures in the story of Jesus. She was shown as a prostitute by the interpretation of a Pope "She whom Luke calls the sinful woman, whom John calls Mary, we believe to be the Mary from whom seven devils were ejected according to Mark. And what did these seven devils signify, if not all the vices? ... It is clear, brothers, that the woman previously used the unguent to perfume her flesh in forbidden acts."(homily XXXIII) So I still am unclear of what you were saying towards the end of your reply was it that I was acting as though I had to give you my permission because that isn't how I mean it! I simply mean there are things you can't ask a person to change and you shouldn't. Isn't grammar something people focus in on when they have nothing to say in return or to add to a conversation? I honestly don't mind what you think of my grammar. I have University grade English, I apologize if I don't use it here. This is a small forum page, where I am discussing with some nice and some difficult people, my concern honestly isn't on whether a paragraph is honestly necessary when I am writing paragraphs themselves and not miniature essay. If you do have trouble however, with reading fairly good size print without paragraphs I would suggest reading glasses. Not trying to be disrespectful but that does sound like a problem :/

A lot of my friends are Catholic or otherwise Christian and as much as you may disagree with the Pope, Catholicism is a branch of Christianity and a lot of Christian groups, albeit small ones, have picked up the idea of Mary M as a prostitute and not all are Catholic. Like I said, the bible is open to interpretation and I am sure many people read that part of the bible and come to that conclusion too. From reading it myself I would, or at least think it was somewhat involved. Regardless it still isn't appropriate to call someone a whore or devil worshipper because they disagree with you that was really my main point. I am not confused I am very happy and content with my beliefs and understand them fully, but you have yours and I have mine we of course won’t agree. I am only wishing people would take a more tolerant attitude to others of different beliefs. I only joined and posted because of my disbelief at people saying such horrific things! Not to condemn you for being Christian. I would have never believed until I read it that people wished the holocaust to reoccur to atheists! I don't believe anyone can be that heartless!
