  • SC Democrats trying to out Republican Republicans by pushing for mandatory daily prayer in school

    Brothers and Sisters

    I'm very conflicted about news coming out of South Carolina:

    State lawmakers in South Carolina are pushing for legislation that would mandate prayer sessions in schools.

    The bill, H. 3526, would require teachers to lead a moment of silence at the beginning of each school day, during which the teacher would be allowed to deliver a prayer. Students who didn’t not want to participate (heathen children) would be allowed to leave the classroom.

    Most of the legislation’s sponsors are Democrats. It was introduced by Reps. Wendell Gilliard (D), Robert Williams (D), Joseph Jefferson (D), Carl Anderson (D), Liston Barfield ®, Bill Clyburn (D), Heather Ammons Crawford ®, Lonnie Hosey (D), Robert Ridgeway III (D), and Don Wells ®.
    While I obviously think that mandatory Christian prayer should be a part of every school day, I'm not sure how to feel about Demon-crats pushing for this law. Does anyone suppose that they are secretly trying to push for Satanic prayers or prayers to some other un-Holy beast?

    Like you Brother Craig, I smell a hidden agenda here. I suspect they will be praying to Darwin, Newton, Einstein, Dawkins, Witten and other such secular "gods."

    They need to be made to explicitly state that is is prayer to God for which they are calling. Otherwise, this is the work of Satan.

    I Kings 7:23

    And he made a moulten Sea, ten cubites from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, & his height was fiue cubits: and a line of thirtie cubites did compasse it round about.

    New here? Desiring to be pleasing in the eyes of The Lord and His Followers?

    Then do as directed by our esteemed Pastors and head on over to the Introductions subforum and make your first post there, friend. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus. Anything else you want to share with us about how Jesus has blessed you is welcomed too.

    Are you a hater of God that believes He is a morally bankrupt monster? Read Why, you ask, is God so angry? to see that it is in fact you that is the monster that mercilessly and infinitely torments God.

    Stop this relentless torturing of God and accept Jesus today!

      Like you Brother Snyde, I smell a democRAT here - typical of them to become chameleon like when facing election season. Act like a Republican so as not to appear "soft" on whatever the limp wristed commie pinko issue is. Watch out for the secret provisions in the bill that will require teachers carry compasses that point in the direction of mecca.
      Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
      brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
      ...and get off my lawn
