This is ridiculous. I am a sinner, but I can tell you that Christianity isn't about this. This radicalistic talk is what causes the media to make christians look bad. Christianity isn't about shunning, it is about reaching out and helping. Pointing at women saying it is their fault they got raped is ridiculous. I agree, if it was your daugter or wife that was raped you wouldn't have the same outlook on it.

I know that there are four different strands in the pentateuch. The Yahwist, Elohist, Deuteronimist, and the Priestly Writer. I know that they were written in different centuries and then later woven together by another editor. I know that all writers and editors have left their mark on the what we know call the Bible. I know that historical context and human error must be taken into account. I know that in Deuteronomy, Moses commanded the destruction of all indiginous sactuaries in the promised land but then after that, this destruction of the indiginious sanctuaries is narrated in two different ways. Joshua gives an idealized account, perhaps giving his take on the way history "should have been" where he appears to claim that all of the cities have been conquered. Then in the following book, Judges, we are given a list of cities that have not been conquered. This seems to be a contradiction, which was pointed out by my Bible professor.
And for people who talk so much about "Jesus" you seem to know very little about grace and forgiveness.

As a matter of fact, what does the KJV1611 (the only true Bible) have to say about Moses and the indiginous sactuaries? There is no need for debate.

I study the bible. I'm at church 3-4 times a week for services, bible study, or helping out with things. I'm a religious studies major in college and I spend most of my free time doing volunteer work. I'm certainly not without sin but I think I try really hard to be good.

I screamed for help! I didn't have a decible meter with me at the time so I couldn't tell you exactly how loud. But then after he knocked me down he kept squeezing my neck and choking me when I tried to scream. I was so scared. He was so much stronger than me. I wasn't prepared. I didn't expect it. My family and I knew and trusted him.
I was and still am very shy. I'd never even gone out on a date before. I'm not a seductrous. I'm a quiet person usually. I don't go out drinking and partying and putting myself into situatiions that tend to be unsafe.

Apparently you have angered Jesus sufficiently that He had you raped. When really bad things happen (like you get eaten by wild beasts, get killed in war, get sick and die, etc.), then you'll know that it was God that did it to you.

Ezekiel 14:13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

Was it in the city or in the country? If it was in the country, the man should be killed.
You're lucky you screamed loudly, or you should be killed too, if it was in the city.
I can't wait until we get a supreme court that enforces Biblical law!

Deuteronomy
22:23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; 22:24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you. 22:25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.


You were betrothed, I believe you said you were saving yourself for marriage.
If not:

22:28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
22:29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.



We are Christians and God has laid down the law. We are fighting very hard to win this election so we can get a good supreme court and make these laws the law of the land. Please vote McCain/Palin. We know Palin believes this!

I guess blaming the victim is one way to respond to the problem of evil. God punishes people for doing wrong so if something bad happens, its their fault.
Just tell me, do you really think there is not possible situation where rape could NOT be the victim's fault. I find this unbelievable. When I first read this, I thought it must be some sort of hoax. I don't understand why you think like this.

I wasn't dressed like a slut. I wasn't acting like a slut. You people are sick. I can't believe anyone would think like this.

We think the way Jesus wants us to think young lady. And we're proud of it!
