Should I get my nose fixed?

I've never liked my face much. I have an ugly chin, so I have a beard. My eyes are a bit crooked, but I can live with that. The only thing I can fix is my nose, I've always thought it was a little flat and too wide as well. And then there's Leviticus 21:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.

For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,

Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,

    Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;
    Leviticus 21:16-20

I say you should get your nose fixed to be as large and imposing as possible. That way it will be that much Holier when you turn it up at filthy sinners, and Democrats. (Oops, same thing).

Re: Should I get my nose fixed?

I'm not sure Brother Portway. I do admit that your nose often reminds me of the Song of Solomon 7:4:

Thy neck is as a tower of ivory; thine eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bathrabbim: thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.

I suppose you want to make it look a bit less like the tower of Lebanon?

You know our Lord can get a little cranky sometimes, and I wouldn't want to see him take away your nose entirely.

            Ezekiel 23:25
And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.
            Psalm 81:10:
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

There has been some debate on whether plastic surgery might be sinful.

But if you'd like to take your chances on how it heals up, why you can drop by my place sometime. I've got a good pickaxe handle that'll do the job.

Re: Should I get my nose fixed?

I found this. To me, it seems to be saying if you change your face, as long as you do it to make yourself look more like Jesus, God is 100% for it! Praise! I think I'm going to do it!

Are there any plastic surgeons that specialize in making people look more like Jesus?

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

One consideration is that if you have kids, your operation will not affect them. They too will have noses like Concorde and such, you should be prepared for expense there also. If you fail to correct their noses, the Unsaved may question your children's parentage!

Street Preaching is the answer! Cousin Shaphat had his broken for free seven times.

I am thinking you should be ok. Its not like you're trying to accomplish ex-negroery through surgery or anything, look at what God did to michael jackson for attempting that.
