Looks Like a Big Restaurant Tip, Saves Souls Instead

There is a practice among Christians across the country that is encouraging. It is to buy a stack of fake $20 bills to leave as tips in restaurants. When the happy server unfolds the fake $20 bill she is treated to a wonderful passage from the Bible. The disappointment a server might have in discovering this $20 is fake will be more than offset by knowing a customer loved her so much the customer worries about the server's soul. There are fake $50 tracts and others. All of us at Landover Baptist should have some of these in our wallets and purses. Satan cannot match this idea.

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

What a lovely thought. Many serving types, I understand, are from a catholic background – if not actual catholics themselves. They will never have heard The Gospel.

II Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

Apparently they "send money home" (or, alternatively, for those visiting unenlightened countries such as Europe, New Zealand and the like) when replica currencies from other places would be valuable, to spread The Good News about [1] the error they'd been taught having demonic origins

II Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

and [2] a remedy being available in Christ Jesus. The most exciting message any one could ever hear. Certainly better than anything found in a fortune cookie. What other currency options are available?

II Corinthians 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

      Greetings!

White people leave money on a table when they finish eating and they throw money in fountains. This is very confusing to I but Black people are not required to leave tips so I do not leave tips.

This is not because of your helplessly burned skin (don't they have a medication for that? whatever Michael Jackson used), but because you're a foreigner. In foreign countries waiters are paid good wages and do not receive tips.

Just like you can spot an American tourist abroad because he leaves a tip, you can spot a foreigner here because he does not. I hope that was helpful.

Tecnically it is also true for the Asian people: They don't leave money because they see it as a rude act.

Kudos to you, Brother Bathfire, for using the True DictionaryTM compiled by the proudly American, Noah Webster. According to one biographical source, Webster held the belief that ". . . a nation's linguistic forms and the thoughts correlated with them shaped individuals' behavior. Thus, the etymological clarification and reform of American English promised to improve citizens' manners and thereby preserve republican purity and social stability."

As our Trump-appointed Transportation Secretary, Sean Duffy, has pointed out, civility and manners matter. And as other members of our lovely church community have pointed out, not leaving a tip for one's server is rude. More importantly, leaving one's server in ignorance of their pending fate in Hell is even more rude.

However, just because someone is consigned to suffer unspeakable horrors in Hell, they have no excuse to slack off regarding spelling and grammar. Being Unsaved Trash is bad enough, it irks me considerably when they compound their offenses by being unschooled.
