What you are doing is exercising your right to choose to go to Hell. Once you stand before God to be judged, are you going to cite the first amendment?? Freedom of speech traces directly to Free Will: no one can throw you in jail for choosing to go to Hell, but we surely can try to persuade you to choose Heaven. And please, don't give me the "but I'm a Christian, I go to Church!" excuse. There are enough Bible quotes to fill a separate book that point out that talking the talk while not walking the walk will land you a spot in Hell as well.

Purity of mind takes a lifetime to accomplish and perfect. Obviously, many so-called Christians are not as pure as they like to think. Rather, they see sexual innuendo in even the most generous offers. To you corrupted so-called "Christians" (my apologies to Jesus for even using this term!), 18-24 year-old women are mere lust objects. Try to put your sinful lust aside for a moment: it's precisely because of you sinners like you that these women are most vulnerable to temptation? It is the best period for them to learn that it's OK to say NO to sinners and YES to the divine.

Go ahead and pat yourself on the back about how Christian you think you are how much you go to Church. You will still go to Hell for your sins that you even refuse to acknowledge. That is corruption of the soul.

Kudos for the kind reverend for his work. Let us pray he continues to be motivated!

Sorry for posting so soon again, but I thought this was a really smart observation and wanted to respond to it.

Personally, I find atheists more bearable than false Christians. At least atheists do not purport to speak on behalf of Real Christians or spread misinformation about the Bible.

Sorry, but skimming through the Bible and putting on Jesus-on-the-cross earrings doesn't cut it. If living a Biblical life is too much effort for you, then why not just be honest to yourself and say you're an atheist? Just like with Alcoholism, you first have to admit your sinful ways before you can recover. It is easier to convert an atheist to Real Christianity than it is to convert a false Christian. After all, the false Christian already believes to have found Salvation. Boy, will they be in for a surprise!

I saw this link to this thread in Rev. Jim's signature and am very interested! I may have overlooked this on the initial post, but is this like an annual event or something like that or can I join whenever? Either way I am interested, and who could not resist a FREE Bible study!? Do any of the other Reverends join and guide in the Bible study? (Perhaps as guest speakers?)

Also, sister LittleMissV, you tell them! It's pleasing to hear such a success that came out of the Bible study.

Why does Big Jim drive a stretch limo while the members of his cult--having given all their money to his cause--live in poverty? Is that limo necessary to save all these young, impressionable women? Shouldn't he spend that money on building more churches for his followers to worship and congregate in? Or maybe give some of it back to his fellow True Christians so that they can continue to put food in their stomachs and roofs above their heads?

He has been saved by Jesus, clearly--but so have you, thanks to his preachings. So why are you rewarding him with disgusting material possessions? Shouldn't your salvation be enough of a reward for him? He just prevented you from going to Hell for chrissake!

I'm not an expert on the Bible, so if somebody would be so kind as to direct me to the verse(s) that explain(s) how Jesus lived a life of luxury, funded by the money given to him by those he had saved, I will gladly shut my mouth (so to speak).

His followers do not live in poverty, I am perfectly able to live my life sufficiently with my $4.50 an hour. Our Godly Pastor is a pure man, and the money he is given is used to help niglets in Africa, and people all over the world. So, shouldn't a man doing the will of the Lord day by day at least be able to do it comfortably? The Limo is for a safe and luxurious travel, so he can be ready to preach and rebuke Satan amongst the mass crowds he preaches to.

I find it hard to believe you are EVEN QUESTIONING our pastor's ways, for his motives are straight from the Lord himself. You're foolish .

That may be. All I'm asking is why you are all rewarding him by allowing him to purchase completely unnecessary luxuries, when the money you are so shamelessly dumping into his wallet could be used for much more worthwhile ventures.

So educate me. Please. Justify the purchase of a stretched Escalade over, say, a non-stretched Escalade. A Lincoln. ANYTHING. Why a limo? And why was it purchased with YOUR MONEY? The money YOU are giving HIM should be used for the CHURCH, not for his own comfort. He should, as Cranky put it, dedicate his life to the Lord, not to Cadillac.

Why the luxury? That's all I'm asking. How can you pay him to buy these things, which he uses solely for himself? These women can be saved whether Big Jim's got a limo or not, that's all I'm saying. How can it be justified?

I will say this. Rev. Osborne is paid $1 a year from the Church. Some of his expenses are covered by the Church. He does without a great amount of the time. I know it pains him to appear well off. But studies have found, if he looks well off, in turn people will feel well off.
I have been to his home, trust me when I say he lives without. I found no Steuben Crystal nor golden swimming pools. Not a single luxury car.

A few weeks ago, I found the good Reverend by the side of the road, a flat tire having stopped him in his tracks. His car had no spare nor jack. He would not allow me to tow his car with my truck or lift a finger for him in any way. Now that is a humble man!

And that's only one thing that I know of; he could have a whole mountain of luxuries that are completely inaccessible to the average man, payed for BY MONEY FROM YOUR OWN POCKET. That is, in my opinion, absolutely despicable. Instead of helping the Church, or its followers, he helps himself. Disgusting.

Jim Osborne helps people from all over the world, preaching, giving them food, converting, and dispensing Bibles to the poor. He uses his wealth to keep Freehold a healthy, sanitary, and Godly town. Is it a crime to live a comfortable life while working daily to bring Jesus all over the world?

Is it a crime? No, certainly not. Not a legal crime, anyway. But a moral crime indeed. It is shameful to put yourself on a pedestal that towers above the ones you preach to. He is not better than you. You are all God's children, are you not? He is helping his community and all those around the world--FANTASTIC. But he should do it as an equal, NOT as a superior.

I smell the stench of PRIDE. Again. Looks like Big Jim's got some repentin' to do.


Also, berate him behind his back? How so? Does he not post on this forum at least semi-regularly? I openly invite him to join this discussion--he's got some explaining to do anyway, because clearly his mindless, zombified sheep-slaves aren't capable of sufficiently backing him up.
