    REAL LIFE is a survival game for your soul, son. The winners get into Heaven, and the losers go to Hell. There's even a handy walkthrough for the game called the Holy Bible. Make your choice.

    You know what's really "severely creepy and scary looking?" Demons. Monstrous beasts from Hell who exist for the sole purpose of brutally torturing you without pity or mercy for all eternity. You ought to feel anxiety about that instead of your stupid high score, and get it through your head that you need to fear God, because if you don't, it's the lake of fire for you.

    I don't think real life gives the thrill of escaping a reaper, I don't think real life gives you the scare of almost drowning and losing everything, Real life doesn't give you the mystery of what shot down the Aurora or who the Precursors were. There is no high score in Subnautica, just the fact of your 3rd Seamoth might get destroyed by the Ghost Leviathan. Games like Subnautica is an escape from reality, even if it's only for an hour or two a day. Have you ever thought that you just over analyze things?

      "Reality" as you call it, is a brief microsecond of our existence that determines how the subsequent vast expanse of eternity will go. There's not a moment to waste playing games like a simple-minded toddler. You should be studying the Bible, following God's laws to the letter, and readying yourself for death because it could come at any time and you don't want to go to Hell. Let me repeat this because of its great importance: YOU DON'T WANT TO GO TO HELL. If you do, you're the one who's going to get analized. By the devil!!!
      I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
      Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
      But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
      From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

          Yes. That's reality. The real world. How does playing games make me like a simple minded toddler? I've read the bible, and decide I would rather live my life doing what I love. Drawing, coding, traveling, and learning to become a Veterinary doctor. Then I play games to lower the stress that comes from that and other parts of daily life.

            We don't call it "reality," because we're not atheists. The proper Biblical term is "Creation." You live in your fairy tale reality and we live in the real world that was created by the Lord thy God 7,000 years ago.

            Games are for babies. I haven't played a game since 1988 (it was "pin the tail on the devil" on the occasion of my 12th birthday, in case you were wondering) because I'm a grown man. You are a manchild, which is why you're a virgin who lives in his parents' basement and smokes the marijuana.

            So you're not just an ignorant sinner, you're a full-blown apostate. Have fun spending less than 0.000000000000000000001% of eternity doing what you love and the rest of it burning in Hell because you rejected Jesus. I'll spend the same amount of time in self denial and prayer, and the other over 99% of it in paradise looking down on you and laughing.

            Prayer would be far more effective for your body and, more importantly, your soul (Philippians 4:6-7).

            The fact that you are still on this forum and haven't been repelled by the blinding light of our Godliness indicates that there is hope for you yet, and that Jesus is nudging you onto His path. Tonight, I will pray for you, which will availeth you much (James 5:16).

                We have an escape from real life. It's called Heaven. And you better straighten up if you hope to get there!

                Revelation 21

                1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
                2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
                3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
                4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
                5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
                6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
                7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
                8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
                9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
                10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
                11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
                12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
                13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
                14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
                15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
                16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
                17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
                18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
                19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
                20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
                21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
                22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
                23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
                24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
                25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
                26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
                27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
                Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
                1 Corinthians 11:13

                  Slow down there, girl. God does not listen to the prayer of heathens. My prayers, because they come from a righteous man, will reach the ears of God. He doesn't give a rat's ass what you pray for because you spit in His face and reject Him.

                      This is where you and I differ. The scare of almost drowning and losing everything is common not only among among pearl divers but in various activities involving (possibly unplanned) underwater departures. I'm not sure what a reaper is, but travelling across Africa means crossing borders where very different laws apply.

                      Some innocuous luggage item (this is one reason why I never carry luggage) in City One may well get you decapitated in City Two. Or again, on safari there are no fenced enclosures: you're right in it. Sleeping in your shack (preferably air conditioned with full service) lions can and do come right up. Elephants and hyaenas are usually more circumspect, but warthogs and snakes will happily bite you if you go wandering around in the dark. So you don't. But you could if you wanted to. Night-time is quite noisy.

                      Other activities can be fully enjoyed without using safety equipment. I have no idea what an Aurora is but evidently its position is a vulnerable one. Playing any video game is entirely risk free. A cliff face with no ropes is not. It's a simple matter of choice and not even a cliff is necessary. Tobogganing in the fog is just as good requiring a heightened sense of direction or even zooming across flat terrain by starlight. You need to be in terrain you know well (or have mapped in advance) and if there's a "reaper" about apparently you can't use lights. These are real activities. Miscalculation results in death.

                      Games like Subnautica is an escape from reality, even if it's only for an hour or two a day. Have you ever thought that you just over analyze things?
                      The types of adventure outlined above demand obsessive analysis. The greater the risk the greater the analysis required. Sometimes in advance (the pearl diver for instance) sometimes on the fly (unexpected deviations from one's plan having arisen) but that's the whole point. To be acting in that unplanned arena not knowing what's going to happen next. There's no such thing as too much analysis!

                      A good starter is to go to the airport with some money. Spend it all on a ticket to somewhere you've never been. When you land you're on your own. Immediately you're living there - not just visiting. What happens next? Only one way to find out. Best to avoid the Arabian peninsular just now. And Turkey.

                        That reminds me, I just had a dream where a turkey filled my pants with pinecones.

                        I think God is telling me either to throw out the leftover Christmas turkey in the fridge, or throw out the Christmas tree before it bursts into flame. There, I've over-analyzed something, happy?

                          Can dreams really tell us about God? I don't claim to interpret dreams but I'm sure Turkey's headed for something worse than pine cones. They do make a nice fire though.

                            Thanks for pointing that out, but unfortunately most 19 year olds cant afford that kind of trips. I am saving money to travel, so I'm hoping I'll have enough to take a roadtrip down to Florida with my friends this summer. We've all been saving for over a year.

                              Did you know God is a Baptist? Just thought that might open your eyes. You see, the Landover Baptist Church, along with an informal network of lesser brethren churches such as the North Salem Baptist Church, the Shatter Creek Baptist Church, and the Podunk Bible Baptist Church, are always in need of money to carry out the Lord's work on earth. I assure you that God's ministry could make far better use of that money than you ever could, and it would greatly increase your favor in the eyes of Christ.

                              But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
                              From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

                                Yes, it's good to get out and about. I should say that my examples were not actual travel recommendations. Obviously cliff scaling and pearl diving require training. But everything represented in any "game" does have its counterpart in real life however unattainable for most people. Many things had been unattainable in the past which have now become reality. If Bertha Benz (look her up, she is quite interesting) had never snuck of with her ol man's contraption would road trips even be possible at all?
