I was finally enlightened by a coworker yesterday that my epilepsy is simply caused by demons and Jesus can deliver me from them! I only wish I had known this before I had 3 brain surgeries. Oh, the sorrow!

We had a woman in our office that had epilepsy. It was a shock to me when I found out.

At company parties I always thought she was just a really bad break dancer.

An easy mistake to make, as both epileptics and break dancers tend to froth at the mouth; a sure sign of demon possession.

However, I have faith I will meet dear Dainty Lady in heaven one day, cured of her flailing limbs and spittle. Praise!

I've been accused of breakdancing before, but I work at Starbucks and they just thought I had an extreme reaction to too much caffeine!

I have spilled blood in the biting of the tongue. Does spilling my blood count as a sacrifice to the Lord? Perhaps such blood-letting will dash the demons before I have the chance to meet Jesus. The line is so long...

If you are, then I know your life will change as you come to understand more fully Jesus Christ's love for you. However, I was not aware that your epilepsy came about by a car accident, I thought you just developed it randomly (late onset)--which would make more sense as far as demonic oppression, versus having an accident. You're right, I do believe in demonic oppression and possession--though in the case of epilepsy, I would not necessarily say that was possession, but rather oppression, big difference. I've had several demonic encounters myself. Either way, Jesus Christ has the power to heal and restore.

I'm glad you hear you share. I'll be interested to hear more. I love when people come to understand that there's no one but Jesus Christ that can give life meaning and that there's one Name under heaven by which men can be saved. I've been a Christian most of my life, but only in the past 5 or so years has Christ really become everything to me as I've understood that no one satisfies like He does because He created everything and that I was created to be satisfied by Him. When I first believed I was excited about not going to hell, I'm still gracious and excited, but I realized that when Jesus said He came to give life and to the full, that He was also talking about life here on earth.

I'll be sure to ask his opinion on this. Should I pray the surgeon be smited? I think he may be Jewish. Is there a greater chance of additional demons if this is true?

If you are in America, which i assume since you work at Starbucks I would refer you to someone who might be able to help you! He is a Christian and a pastor of a very well known healing ministry, I think he is in Texas though, not sure!

I wish I was there, because I too suffer from the same problem since I had an accident when I was younger, but unfortunately I am in Africa at the moment. The person is Curry Blake and you would be able to find him on the net.

Oh man, you are really taking it out of context. There are more than one meaning for bless! "to extol as holy; glorify: Bless the name of the Lord."

epilepsy is not a product of y'alls imaginary 'demons.' it is a human condition which can be treated and helped through proper medical care. you should seek medical assistance if it is at a point whee you need help
