Women (men's property) are supposed to not speak in church. Now some people claim that this verse deals with speaking in tongues, and that women shouldn't be doing it in church (as verses 27-33 are pretty much about Divine Revelation through speaking in tongues) But you'll note that verse 34 (women silent) really has nothing to do with speaking in tongues, BUT, is clarified in verse 35.

35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Women (according to 1 Corinthians) are to keep silent in church. Plain and simple. Now, the words used are SPEAK, which means words; statements of their own will. Women are allowed to sing hymns in church, but that's it. They are allowed to read words from a sheet of music, but not allowed to formulate a question (or a sentence) from their own feeble minds.

As for jewelry.

1 Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

Women should not show their "worth" to God and man through their apparel (technically this is good advice for everyone) but with their good and Godly works, as verse 10 says.

You guys are so clouded by your made up rules and regulations that you forgot what being a Christian is all about. It's not about how much or often you tithe, its not even about who you tithe to, it's about Jesus. It's about having a personal relationship with Jesus. You can condemn my church all you want, but that wont change the fact that God loves me just as much as he loves you, and God is in our prescence the same way he is in yours.

Friend, they aren't my rules, they are specifically outlined in the Bible (kjv1611).

If you were really sure that your church followed the Bible (and thereby GOD) you'd answer these simple questions.

8 simple questions. Ask your preacher the answer to them. Ask him why they choose to reject God's Holy Word.

Ask him if it's possible to have a personal relationship with Jesus the Christ, when there is only ONE BOOK given by Him in order for you to get to know HIM, and the "church" you chose has rejected any number of these simple 8 questions.

Answer the questions.

Then when you are standing in front of Jesus and God on judgement day, you'll already be able to have your defense ready, as opposed to just being tossed into hell unaware. At least you'll know some of the reasons why God is rejecting you, just like you reject HIM.

After you answer the questions, then come up with your justifications as to why you reject God's Holy Word.
