What could be more timely than an offer by the President of the United State of Ameriica to help Nigerialand with food delivery. We could send them a 10% off link to Uber Eats and let the free market work its magic, creating jobs, famiii.... covfefe

I agree, Sister Basilissa, prayer is the answer, or one answer, for Nigeria. Perhaps we should look behind the door of that backwards country, located in Darkest Africa, and see what's going on. The thing is, if there really are Christians there, there should not be "food insecurity (hunger)". Matt 13:3-9 explains that when a farmer tosses seeds on the ground there will be a bountiful harvest even if only a few take root. That God has not grown enough food there leads to only one conclusion: There are no genuine Christians in Nigeria.Originally posted by Basilissa View PostWho knew there were any Christians in Nigeria? I thought these people were all into wodoo or something. Well, apparently years of Christian missions in Africa served for something, and it seems there are some fine Christians there:
Of course, some pesky atheists couldn't help themselves:
Oh ye of little faith (Matthew 8:26)! The Nigerian Ministry of Agriculture is doing the best thing possible, by placing the solution to food shortages in the Hands of God Himself. Oh how simpler the life would be if all governments solved all economic and political problems this way!
Reading up on this, I see there are a lot of Catholics, Methodists, Lutherans and Anglicans. Where are the Christians? God only hears prayers from Christians. Should we in Godly Freehold be boxing up food to send to Nigeria? NO.

Of course there are, Mrs. Bazzy. They make half of the population of Nigeria. The other half is the Islamic majority that constantly persecutes them everyday. And there is of course a small percentage of heatens who worship someting called Orishas.Originally posted by Basilissa View PostWho knew there were any Christians in Nigeria? Nigerian Christians ask for prayers

A call for all staff in Nigeria's ministry of agriculture to pray to help the country achieve food security has caused controversy.
An internal memo from the head of the ministry's HR department urges staff to attend a solemn prayer session and fast for the next three Mondays.
