There's no excuse for his "it's how I am" attitude.

Since you have been through a ReOrientation Program, Brother Jedediah, you yourself have been freed from this....but your average Homogay, such as the Senator, is often easily confused and dithering, from the overproduction of female hormones.

So, it's not surprising that Miss/Mr. Ashburn doesn't know who or what s/he is, and has these emotional mood swings, etc. Personally, I just believe s/he should be removed from authority in public office until its masculinity is medically realligned. Do we really want someone this unstable with its finger on the button??

I'll bet dollars to donuts that his "friend" was a Latino. Before I was Cured, those types always caused the greatest stir in my loins with their wavy hair and chocolate eyes.

If Sen. Ashburn was a True Republican, he would have checked himself into reorientation therapy years ago. It's something we have to struggle with every day. I spend at least a good 30 minutes slapping myself and yelling at myself in the mirror every morning as I wake up from another sordid, Satanic dream involving sombreros, abs, and mustaches.

This is just another example of a decent white Republican who was seduced by the dark side of the gays. People will call him a hipocrite, but anyone who is that confused could be expected to make mistakes like that.

If they're smart they'll close down those gay bars in West Sacramento. Who knows what even goes on there. They could be dark and steamy sex clubs for anonymous mutual and self-gratification.

In that interview, at least he does mention being "conflicted" about the issue...so perhaps the scaly-talloned demon of homosexuality hasn't taken complete hold, as of yet.

Staunch anti-gay GOP state senator Roy Ashburn finally admits he's homosexual

LOS ANGELES - A GOP state senator with a staunch anti-gay voting record came out of the closet Monday and asked for his constituents' prayers.

"I am gay," state Sen. Roy Ashburn (R-Bakersfield) said, breaking his silence on a conservative AM talk radio show based in his working-class California district.

"Those are the words that have been so difficult for me for so long."

The admission ended mounting speculation that began last week when Ashburn was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving near a gay nightclub he reportedly patronized in Sacramento, Calif.

A divorced father of four, Ashburn said he was wracked with "restless nights" and "soul searching" since the Wednesday arrest and felt he owed his constituents an explanation.

"I've always believed that I could keep my personal life personal and my public life public. But through my own actions, I have made my personal life public," he said on AM 1180 KERN Radio.

"I felt with my heart that you know being gay did not affect, wouldn't affect, how I did my job," he said.

He defended his ironclad opposition to gay rights, saying his votes reflected the majority views of his district.

Ashburn, 55, voted against an effort to recognize gay marriages performed legally in other states and last year opposed a bill to establish May 22 as Harvey Milk Day in honor of the slain gay-rights activist.

"I felt my duty - and I still feel this way - is to represent my constituents, not my own point of view, not my own internal conflict," the politician, who will be termed out this year after 14 years in statewide office, said.

"There's never been a doubt in my mind on the position of the vast majority of the people in my district."

Asked about his Christian faith and whether he now will live an openly gay life, Ashburn was ambiguous.

"I would ask people to pray for me. My faith is very clear and very firm," he said.

"I pray to God that I can find peace, and I want to go back to work in the Senate and work hard for the people who sent me to the legislature."

He said he no longer plans to run for Congress.

What I did was set up a rack for the candles out front of the house. So light your candle, put it in the Vigil Rack, then come out back to the patio for dinner.

We just have to check at some point to make sure they're not all blown out. Don't let me forget!

I'm so glad I got out of that hellhole when I did. Those people are fag enablers even when they don't realize they're doing it! It's a good thing I never voted when I lived there, or else I might have been guilty a supporting a queen without knowing it, and we know how God feels about that sort of thing!
