I've asked a sweet gal to marry me. The problem is I've made a couple of embarrassing mistakes recently, and I don't want her to be red-faced hanging around me. I could use a prayer or two and sorry for sounding mysterious.

Just take your time, Brother LOL, we are very patient and offer comfort to you in this time of need.
On the bright side, be happy you're not of the papist stooges where some pedopriest would drag you into a confession booth and beat it out of you.

I will not snoop into what has happened, but I am sure if you find this gal a suitable match, why "whatever" happened really should not matter.
I am sure that whatever it was... that God has forgiven you.
