    Pray for ME: I hit a bicyclist in my car in a terrible accident

    My fellow brothers and sisters,

    I come to you in this hour of desperation for your prayers. On Wednesday, December 1, I was driving on University Ave in Des Moines. I had just come from the college after an exhausting all-night evangelism and witnessing session with a young Communications major. I was texting her while driving about 50 mph. Little did I know there was a bike lane to the side of me and I ended up slamming into a gay cyclist riding in it.

    The accident was pretty horrible. I suffered no real injuries, but the shock of being involved in an accident is really overpowering and I am still shook up from it to this day. My Mercedes SL65 AMG was less lucky. My front right side of the fender is all smashed in and the windshield is cracked. There's also some paint scraped off on the hood. The bicyclist is even less luckier than that: He is currently on life support in serious condition.

    This was clearly just an accident. Although the cyclist should've been more responsible. Why was he out driving in the street anyways? You're supposed to ride your bike on the sidewalks. I am absolutely distraught over the accident. The next day I took my Mercedes down to my private mechanic and he quoted me over $12,000 in repairs. And that is after a generous discount. I'm also facing possible court time and a lawsuit, but I am confident my legal team will be able to defend me.

    So, I ask your prayers for the following...
    • Pray for me, so that I may get over the stress of having been involved in an accident.
    • Pray for me, having to endure an expensive repair bill to my Mercedes (although I'm thinking about buying a new one)
    • Pray for me that my lawsuit goes through. On Monday, my lawyers are filing a lawsuit against the cyclist (and his family if he dies) seeking millions in compensation for being at-fault in the accident and causing stress and damages to myself.

    Please pray for me, brothers and sisters. I need you now more than ever!

    You're supposed to ride your bike on the sidewalks.
    Even sidewalks aren't safe sometimes as you can see in this clip from a movie I found on Youtube. The clip is rather long so you'll want to skip to 4:44 and you'll see the part I'm referring to.

        Reverend, I will definitely gather the prayer warriors for your peace of mind, but I wouldn't worry too much about a mere bicycler.

            Reverend Jim, how can I get an infraction for simply illustrating that sometimes it isn't safe to even ride on the sidewalk? How was that promoting the "gangsta" lifestyle as you said?

              May the Lord Jesus guide your legal defense against the communist prosecutors that want to punish you for your noble duty of smiting fags with your Mercedes. IT IS CLEAR from their dress style (tight, spandex pants) and the overwhelming popularity of the sport in Europe that bicycling is a sport for homosexuals reveling in the evil deeds of Satan.

                Gay cyclists are the worst. He had no doubt removed the seat of the bicycle to satisfy himself while riding. So it seems abundantly clear to me Jim is a completely innocent victim here.

                I will pray that this gay, who is using his bicycle as a sex toy, will get what he deserves.

                  Who would go wandering in Alaska in January in a T-shirt and shorts? Who would attempt to cross the Mojave with nothing more than a can of Coke? Who would wander through the Darkie areas with a wad of banknotes in their top pocket.

                  No, Rev Jim, the roads were built for cars, the telephone is a vital tool in God's armory. A cyclist takes his own life into his hands and must be prepared for all contingencies and be protectively dressed for the occasion. I suspect this homer had no protection (they are famous for not bothering with protection, aren't they?)

                    Rev. Jim, I am so sorry to hear that that sodomite bicyclist willfully and maliciously assaulted you and your Mercedes while driving.

                    Have you considered filing criminal charges against the homer? I'm sure a bicycle can count as a deadly weapon.

                          I know you like to travel light Rev Jim when witnessing but we have been urging you to get a full security detail to protect you for times like this. I know you have some concerns after incident in that Brew Pub with Brother Leroy but he was the only one the City of Des Moinse got the restraining over on!
