  • Please pray for Shirley Phelps-Roper of Westboro Baptist Church

    Brothers and Sisters -

Yesterday, I turned on the radio and heard an interview. I was shocked!

First of all, the program (I found out at a station break) is called "The Donkey Show". May I say, Eww.

The radio personality (I believe his name is "Giant Douche") had Shirley Phelps-Roper of Westboro Baptist Church on the line, and was interviewing her about picketing Elizabeth Taylor's funeral! Well, this was worth listening to.

Shirley was wonderful. She was strong in the Lord, explaining that no, they weren't only picketing because Traylor was a fag-enabler. Sure, that was part of it, but also, Traylor was an adulteress.

As we all know, under Biblical law, the only way for a woman to remarry (without committing adultery) is for her husband to die, or to cast her out. Traylor married NINE TIMES!

So, Shirley explained, the protest was not even merely about Traylor's personal life. It was because she was a huge star, who never once used that powerful platform to advance the Message of God. Instead, she taught America that it was OK to be a fag-loving whore.

How did the radio interviewer respond? He and his cohorts told Shirley she was "crazy", called her a "troll", a "crazy old bat", and nicknamed her "the Cryptkeeper". They suggested she should have a reality show, featuring her, her husband, and her many children, called "Shirley Phelps Plus Hate".

All typical responses of today's misguided population.

"The whole country disagrees with you," they cried. So what, asked Shirley. She only cares that God agrees with her.

"How many people have joined your church since you've been doing this? Not many? See, you're wrong!"

What? She's wrong because a nation that rejects God has rejected one of His Messengers? If anything, that's proof she's right!

Then one of these nimrods told Shirley that the Bible said she shouldn't judge. We've had hundreds of atheists and CINOs (Christians In Name Only) come here and tell us the same. She quoted Scripture, from Isaiah, where we are commanded to "Judge with righteous judgment". She said that meant to judge by God's Law, not by our failed human "values". Their response?

"Shirley, you're crazy, you don't know the Bible at all!"

They also accused her of trying to stop gay "marriage". What did Shirley say?

"Honey, I ain't the law. I have done nothing to stop gay 'marriage'. In fact, under the Full Faith and Credit clause of the Constitution, if your state don't allow it, you just go to another state, and they HAVE to honor it." That's right, Shirley -- an attorney -- agrees with Obama that DOMA is unconstitutional.

"I have never," she added, "stopped or tried to stop anybody from doing whatever they like. I just tell them that IF YOU DON'T OBEY GOD'S LAW, YOU ARE GOING TO HELL."

They didn't like that. Not one bit.

Please, join with me in lifting Shirley up in prayer. She stood strong against these evil, vile people who have never read the Bible and purport to tell her what it says. She's on God's side, even if she focuses a little too much on the homosexuals and not enough on the adulterers, the Wiccans, the Sabbath-workers, etc.

her and her family are doing the right thing by preaching the word of the lord almighty, I am all for that. What liberal/atheist/god mocking america seems to have a problem with is the picketing of funerals for fallen soldiers. I am not voicing my opinion here nor am i looking for a debate. Maybe the picketing just hits close to home for me, being i am in the military myself.

I will certainly offer up a prayer for Sister Shirley because she was trapped by some lieberal radio broadcaster.

However, Brother Rodimer, I am scratching my head trying to figure out where you found that program.

I thought you, like me, kept your radio tuned to Freehold AM/FM twenty four hours a day, and I can't believe I missed the show. Although I'm a bit shocked the station manager would allow something like that on our Godly Airwaves™.

I don't know where you got that idea . . . Senile old coot.

I live in Indiana, and Freehold's radio signal doesn't even reach to Des Moines.

Odd radio stations happen when you have your car detailed by non-Christians. There is no Christian auto-detailer in my part of Indiana.
