However, it will provide a wonderful spectacle. Maybe some poor fool will catch it on camera, so we can all watch.

It is quite possible that among the people involved with the Near-Earth Object Tracking program are Wiccans, Satan-worshippers, or the belong to that dread cult, Die Kröteanbetung.

Nevertheless, I know that God is powerful and wise enough to use even fools and evil men to show forth His mighty Truth. He reveals Truth at His discretion, and as He sees fit.

He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion. Jeremiah 10:12

So while Brother Jeb's list of evildoers is of great insight, we need not throw out the baby with the bathwater...or homer with the bath oil!

Concerning the ordinance of oil, the bath of oil, ye shall offer the tenth part of a bath out of the cor, which is an homer of ten baths; for ten baths are an homer. Ezekiel45:14

Homers may be vile, but they sure take a lot of baths.

You are all aware that these measurements are made by scientists with hellish devices and weird satanic logic, right?

    Tell them brother Jeb Thurmond!

Ah, here it is. From the Discovery Channel website:

Tracking measurements of asteroid 2007 WD5 taken from four observatories have greatly reduced uncertainties about its Jan. 30 close approach to Mars so that the odds of impact have dropped to 1 in 10,000, the Near-Earth Object Program at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory said in a posting on its Web site.
So I guess God thought better of smiting Mars. I mean, what's the point of wasting a perfectly good asteroid on an uninhabited planet? What, did the rocks sin? Did an ice cap blaspheme the Lord's name?

I imagine He decided to save asteroid 2007 WD5 in case He need to put the hurt on centers of heathenist evil like New Delhi or Mecca or Boston.

Strangly enough I have heard the same thing.

  • Let's pray and thank Jesus for His present - Asteroid 2007 TU24!

Let's pray and thank Jesus for the rather belated Christmas present - Asteroid 2007 TU24!
"Asteroid 2007 TU24, discovered by the Catalina Sky Survey on October 11, 2007 will closely approach the Earth to within 1.4 lunar distances (334,000 miles) on 2008 Jan. 29 08:33 UT. This object, between 150 and 600 meters in diameter, will reach an approximate apparent magnitude 10.3 on Jan. 29-30 before quickly becoming fainter as it moves further from Earth. For a brief time the asteroid will be observable in dark and clear skies with amateur telescopes of 3 inch apertures or larger. " http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/news/news157.html
