I happened to stumble on this thread while reading and searching Christian related forums, and this topic caught my attention, since I am native Finn. I understand that this topic is quite old now and probably buried, but if you don't mind I'd like to correct some small misinformation I noticed.

First of all, I have some access to some national secrets since good friend of mine works in SUPO (Finnish national Police of sorts. The unit keeps our politicians safe and stuff like that.) You must understand that I can't provide too many sources, but I managed to snatch some info about this Eskimo holocaust.

Indeed Finland played a big part in this, but it was partly eskimo's fault too. During the time when pre-Finnish settlers arrived to land (though they served under Sweden that time, even if most Finns wont talk much about those dark, dark times.. ) the settlers encountered the Eskimos. Small in numbers, the settlers decided that it was wise to keep some distance from Eskimos. Time passed and Finn quickly mapped the whole land in silence, without much resistance fro Eskimos. Until one day Eskimos suddenly, and without any warning attacked some villages. Later the reason was uncovered. Eskimos, mainly the tribe known as "Rauma" were furious to Finns since they had built village above they're sacred KarhuIII grave hill. Finn, inn fear that eskimos attacked again and unsure about they're reasons (they spoke different languages afterall) launched a full scale attack and killed almost all Eskimos. (exept for those that are still working on our mines) Later when Christianity purified Finland, the Finn were so ashamed that they hid the evidence about all that, and most even forgot it ever happened. Now those files rest in same box as Finland's secret space files and "Näsineula project"

I honestly hope that I was able to clarify some questions, and I hope you trust my goodwill in letting you know some truths about this. Also I apologize for my somewhat jumpy story.

Verily, verily, it was my transgression as well, brother. I shouldn’t have taken it so personally, but… this atrocious assault against the Holy Bible was totally uncalled for. I didn’t see it coming, hence it shook me out of balance. I’m already praying for forgiveness.

You know, the Holy Bible is my best friend, adviser, comforter and guardian. For instance, whenever I woke up during the night being haunted by lewd thoughts (it still happens) and feel an urge to… desecrate my body I rather take a hold of my best friend; that always helps.

2. For the second reply: I wasn't stating the numbers of Eskimos. I was stating the number of Finns which through years were quite low, which makes an annihilation of one native folk quite amazing achievement.

You might find the bloodlust of those troll-demons to be "an amazing achievement"; to us civilised folk, it's just sickening.

Are you sure you are blaming the right nation, if there is something to be blamed for?

And if it did happen - Finnish people were amazingly efficient with such small population ((destroying almost a million of kareli-sami-eskimos whatever) even with 3 million, if it happened before 50s, it is a good rate, because the half of population is women and the rest half is too old or young which leaves approx 700 000 - 800 000 cold blooded killers). Imagine if you could achieve with such small man power as much of conversions to your religion assuming in a really short time.

Personally I am absolutely and absolvently aghast that a singular miseducated, misappropriated and misagonistic mistaken remark, duly perpetrated by "Porn Again Bob" would cause once more such a fervor resulting from what is clearly a misinterpretation by the Dog's Chosen Ones to assume that Dog's Dear Eskimos deserved nothing better than salvation from their own wretched nonexistence in that terrible Hollow-Cause in the frozen wastelands inhabited by semi-random cartoonish-daemons, loose lamentatious women, the "wind in my hair", lost souls and lost linux penguins, and a multitude of a few Finns.

I am glad to see this discussion staying on an intellectually steady course. The Finnish, like all of humanity, evolved and migrated from the African continent. Their ancient ancestors had high levels of melatonin in their skin as did all all Caucasian races but their skin paled to infuse more Vitamin D from the sun. Eskimos are but another branch of this evolution. We all share the same mitochondrial mother therefore are all related as I am sure you all realize in your hearts.

Finns might have actually misunderstood the Holy Bible and ate Eskimos:

Deuteronomy 14:10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you

... but that's not a valid excuse for the Eskimocaust.
