Please get on your knees (not in any unsavory way) and pray for the great Christians at Westboro Baptist Church. Their great work of preaching the gospel by using the funerals of those who have died because America has sinned, must continue.

This loving band of Christians (who knows how they can afford to do it?) have traveled across this great Nation, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, that God Hates Fags.

About the only error I have seen over there, is that they believe that God hates America because it tolerates homosexuality. Well, I believe God is not pleased, but hates America?

Every good American knows that God created America, blessed America, prospered America, and supports every action America takes when it has a Godly President like George W. Bush!

So pray for Westboro, that God will put on their hearts how far off they are in their misunderstanding of the greatness that is America, and that they will keep up their fine work of preaching the gospel!

Brother Dr. Weirdsbe, I've wondered about this myself but, as a woman, have not felt it my place to question the teachings of Rev. Phelps. Thank you for answering this question for me. I shall certainly put him and his congregation in my prayers.

If I may: Have you tried to speak with him yourself and perhaps lead him to see his doctrinal error? I would imagine that someone as eloquent and learned as yourself can be quite persuasive, especially when it comes to correcting a mistake in such a critical area.

I agree the right to free speech is the most essential in any society, next to the right to life. However, that right doesn't exist on a private forum so I'm well aware that I post here thanks to the good graces of some very crazy people.

God does not hate fags, merely homosexuality, if a fag can stop having intercourse the same way as he does with women with men, then he can be saved, for example.

Phelps and his little inbred so-called church are not about Jesus - they're just about their own hatred of anyone and everyone that doesn't think exactly like they do. They know the letter of the law but not its spirit - one of the very things that Jesus castigated the Pharisees for. "Phelps the Pharisee" - has a certain ring to it, no?

If a sodomite repents and stops acting like a damned sissy, then of course it CAN be saved. Certainly the potential exists. But if it stops being a queer, then it isn't a queer anymore.
