I just pray that if God, in his infinite wisdom, sees fit to grant me entry into Heaven, that I will one day shake Steven's hand. And what a beautiful moment it will be! To see a sinner, brought back from the brinks of hell, reunited with the God that created him.
It is so comforting to know that, though we may all make little mistakes in our lives, God is willing to open his heart and forgive us. Praise the Lord!
Exactly. And imagine how joyful it will be to see Smith and the youth of heaven play-wrestling and playing "tickle" on one of heaven's hillsides with a chorus of laughter and giddiness! The thought is truly inspiring!
It is truly heart warming to know that my God is full of mercy.
So much so that He is willing to take even the foulest sinner into His loving embrace, except of course blasphemers. I know I can't wait to see Steve in heaven with us.

Truly heartwarming stuff!

I can't help wondering if the baby was one of those non-stop, round-the-clock screamers like my sister's 3-month-old brat that sometimes just will NOT shut up in the middle of the night. In that case, Deuteronomy 21:18-21 comes to mind and I think God just wanted to let that happen. I am sure even He needs a decent night's sleep now and then.
In any event, if this guy was hurting the baby and God did not like it, then God would not have sat there watching the proceedings and not intervening. Matthew 10:29 teaches that God sees and knows everything.
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
If this baby died, God wanted it dead, if if it was one of those bawlers I can surely get why. I told my sister "next time you come over with that squawking howler monkey you can leave it in the darn car."
But I digress.
If Steven Smith is a true christian now, he should be let out of jail. In Matthew 10, Jesus tells us "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven."
As you know, at Landover we follow Christ's directive not to judge other people. I think if this young man is good enough for Jesus and heaven, he is good enough to be let out of prison to walk among the righteous (us) in the general population.
What makes you think I don't believe in god. How dare you accuse me of being a monkey-worshiping scum.
Well that's a bit of an over reaction!
Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
I wonder why some people just want to crush our joy that someone might be Saved(c) and going to Heaven. Sweet Jesus gave us this way to redeem everyone, even the most despicable, by baptism and repentance. We don't know for sure, but let's say Hitler, in his bunker, repented and accepted Jesus, well he's in Heaven. Whereas people full of hatred and loathing for God's mercy... well there's only one way
2 Corinthians 4:1-6 1Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Just stick to the Gospel, sonny, and stop rebuking your betters.

Son, Redeemed Papist didn't "accuse" you of not believing in God. He simply asked what has darkened your wicked heart so as to pretend to believe in God? It's a good question, I think, and valuable to your eternal soul. Clearly, the "god" you believe in is pretend. It is a figment of your own imagination. If it were the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God who would later impregnate His own mother and become known as Jesus, then your whole attitude would be vastly different. So go ahead and look deep into the depths of your encrusted, dried out soul, and see if you can't remember a pivotal time when someone or something hurt you so much that you had to fabricate an invisible friend.
Then what has darkened your wicked heart so as to pretend to believe in God?
1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
So you seem to think you can judge what God sees. For shame!

I am not an atheist. I do not believe god will be tricked. But maybe HE believes he can pretend, and doesn't actually believe in god and is a satan worshiping fag.

A way out of what? Eternal damnation? You think God will be fooled? You think we can know what is in this good man's heart? Why do you atheists always want to hate people and condemn them?
He's repenting. That means if he's truly sorry and accepts Jesus as his personal saviour by baptism then he gets to go to Heaven with me and all the angels and every other True Christian.
You see something wrong with this?
Ezekiel 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
Consider yourself warned. I have done my duty.

It never occurred to anyone here that maybe he is just pretending to love Jesus as a way out?

Mr. Smith is a True Christian so he must be telling the truth when he says he intended to rape the child, but I remember my grandfather telling me that six month olds were very easy to rape by accident. I think he was just telling me to be careful. Too bad brother Smith didn't have a granddad like mine.
