Re: Please pray Twitter bans Richard Dawkins.

I started following Dawkin's twits as a result of this thread and so far they have failed to amuse me, probably because he is old and infested with matters of death. I am investigating this forum and so far find it fascinating for various values of math that I solved, wait, I hear a spirit in the distance that must be condemned for existing, for I am Beets Flavin, who scours the very edge of redemption for any unnatural acts. It seems now that I must introduce myself, like it is way important.

Now when it comes to theological matters, I try to be very sensitive. These touch on peoples very sense of self, and identity, and we don't wish to be too offensive. At the same time, we must acknowledge that not everyone is at an agreement on the divine objective reality. Some people believe this god exists, some believe that god exists, and some don't believe in any gods what-so-ever. What we should all be able to agree on is that prayer is a very personal affair. It has been with our species for thousands of years, and there are many types of prayer. The prayer of supplication, the one that we're looking at here, is perhaps one of the oldest. People have been trying to trick, to plead with, and to convince higher powers to bend the universe to our very limited will. And there are many different types of supplications. Song, tears, and of course blood. In this more "Civil" contemporary society it is considered a touch unhygienic and uncouth to carry about too many anatomical sacrifices. So I suggest you leave that particular method alone. While we may not agree one which god(s) exist or that god(s) exist at all, I think we can also agree that the idea of a god is powerful enough itself. It can move entire nations. It can make men and women do practically anything. Good or Evil. And if you do so choose to pray to a god. Keep in mind that you might be imbuing the idea of them with a touch more reality than it is safe for mankind. It would not do, to pay them so much attention. Because they might pay attention to you. And I believe that is all I have to say on the matter.

The Satanic influences in the Doctor Who program are extensive. Starting with the lie that he is a doctor (John 8:44). One of the reasons this show still exists after seven decades is because of the idea that the "Doctor" (who is not a doctor but a liar) doesn't die, he "resurrects." In this way they can keep finding new actors when the old one gets boring. How many times has he been resurrected now? Something like 27 times? Our LORD was resurrected once and that was enough to get the job done. This so-called "Doctor" ( who is not a doctor but a liar), keeps cheating death. This is clearly the idea of Satan who put it into the minds of the creators.

Last week I had to go to the bathroom really badly while I was driving, and it isn't easy finding a parking space in Manhattan, where I live. Well, I asked God for help, and, sure enough, about 30 seconds later, a space opened up right in front of me. So Richard Dawkins may think prayer is funny, but I got the last laugh because the atheist behind me didn't get the parking space.

Hey Ashamed, I would surmise that your non-existent allah doesn't get around to answering any prayers but True Christian™ are smart enough to make any necessary contingency plans concerning BBQs without tying up God's dial tone.

What disturbs me is the needless praying from scantily clad pubescent young female cheerleaders and bulked up spandex wearing Texas high school football players petitioning to win some game of no consequence (not to mention Indiana basket ball players making the cathylick sign of the cross before a penalty shot). My guess is that some of those bus accidents carrying young children had needless deaths if Jesus had not been distracted.

In the end, we have to trust and abide by the decisions that Jesus makes in His infinite wisdom and mercy.

At least a jew can be saved

    Matthew 3:7-9
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Still, it's atheists like Dawkins who ruin twitter for normal Christians like you or me.
