Secondly, how is America controlled by the media? Sure we have evil Lieberal menaces like CNN and MSNBC. But luckily we have the holy influence of Fox news to combat the evil liberal's biased and twisted reporting.

I think that pretty much puts everything on this site into perspective. Fox News consists of unqualified jokes of politicians and pundits who feed lies and propaganda to the uneducated masses. They obviously have no conscience to be capable of leading people so astray, but that's the only thing they're good at, so let them keep on erasing the truth. And for the record, America is controlled by corporations who have EVERYONE in their pocket. Fox News only says what they get paid to say. And obviously it's going to be in favor of business, which isn't good for people.

And I agree about the abortion thing. How is it more terrible to take someone's life before they even know they're alive, than sending them off to die in battle when they're in their twenties and have a family to support and children who'll never get to know them? Some of these extreme Christians think it's perfectly fine to bomb abortion clinics and murder doctors, but they don't give a crap if the people next-door are starving or their co-worker has a daughter with cancer and can't get health insurance.

The people on this thread are awfully quick to call other people stupid. Maybe they shouldn't assume that just because someone interprets a passage from the Bible differently than they do that 1) that person has never read the Bible and 2) that person is an idiot. Did God decide to personally come down and tell you what the Bible's all about? No. If God was really on pins and needles that everyone was going to misinterpret the Bible, I think he would have done something about it by now.

I also think it's a shame that people use such language as "fag," "queer," "whore," and "dyke" around here. Just because someone IS something doesn't mean that you should be vulgar when addressing them as such. Are you so high and mighty that you're entitled to decide who has the same right to be respected as a human being as everyone else on Earth? God put us on this Earth to enjoy life. So if you're going out of your way to make someone else's life miserable by calling them such demeaning names, just think about how you'd feel if someone was trying to ruin your life. Everyone deserves the right to be happy, or at least to try to be happy.

My cousin who teaches music at a Baptist church school in Kansas has assured me that the Greendays are indeed heavy metal, of the acid variety, she tells me.

There you have it from an educator, so can we please stop bickering about this particular issue?
