I'm not entirely sure what that tangent of yours was trying to prove, and I strongly doubt that facts are usually correlated with science. A better, but probably more confusing word, would be a proposition, which is much more closely related to philosophy or logic.

I am saying that anytime someone cites a fact in an argument with me that fact just happens to back them up. Origins of Man debate are a good example of all the facts supporting other side. That sounds awfully suspicious.

Did this turn into a Christians bashing game? No, I wouldn't call it that. The fact (oh sorry, proposition) that C.O.M. is a "TRUE Christians™" has very little significance on whether what he said was true or not.

Christianity is a professed faith. By definition to be a TRUE Christian™ you have to declare yourself as one as well as behave as one.

Do you guys really count points about "oh he was a TRUE Christians™ that's one down for them? Score! Nice bashing!" That sounds a bit childish. Sorry to put it so bluntly.

The purpose of changing the word was not to use "impressive knowledge", but rather to make it clearer that it related to philosophy and logic, and not science.
