In yet another part of the world, this time in sunny Spain, the jackbooted thugs of the gaystapo will try to stamp out heterosexual marriage.

Portugal's President Ratifies Gay Marriage Law

LISBON, Portugal (AP) -- Portugal's conservative president says he has decided to ratify a law allowing gay marriage in the predominantly Catholic country.

The head of state's decision to permit the enactment of a bill passed by Parliament in January makes Portugal the sixth European country allowing same-sex couples to wed.

Then again, since the Portugeese are predominantly Romanist, maybe the law's purpose is to allow priests to "marry" their altar boys. Whatever the motivation, this makes Our Lord sick. Expect Him to smite that sinful country by causing a natural disaster somewhere, just as He smote Swedish sodomites by sending a tsunami to their favorite beaches in Southeast Asia.

There is hope for Portugal. In 1755 The Good Lord let Lisbon feel His just wrath when He delivered a mighty earthquake on to that nest of Mary Worshipers!

Excellent point, Brother Bobby-Joe. God, being omniscient, knew what those people would be up to in 2010, so He sent them a shot across the bow in 1755. Then again, "Enlightenment" God-mockers like Voltaire took completely the wrong lesson from it .

Don't blame the Catholic Church. According to this article in The Washington Post, Portugal has been falling away from Holy Mother Rome. In other words, they've been neglecting the excellent example of sexual probity that the Holy See has set throughout its history.

This might be good news. Portugal might become a destination vacation for homosexuals. This would keep them from taking their vacations in the United States.

I hear you, that was when the secularist spat in Jesus face and began to try to claim "natural processes" like gas filled cavern collapsing caused earthquakes to try and take God of of geology. Instead of facing the cold hard facts; God was killing idolaters and false Christians, the atheists invented this false science that only lures men into damnation. Why not say invisible men are causing earthquakes while the geologists are it? A Christian can only laugh at such foolishness.

I might speculate as to a somewhat pragmatical rationale behind the law.

Portuguese women tend to be pretty hairy (disturbingly, all over) (don't ask how I know this) and I can imagine some Portuguese men mistakenly marrying each other out of simple confusion.

Perhaps it was just easier to legalize the mistakes than to shave all the women ??

Not that this makes it OK in the eyes of the Lord . . . .

I'm not sure that is good news since homosexuals don't need vacations. Their "vacations" are mostly made up of sodomizing other men.
