Whiny liberal media are criticizing Godly Fox News for changing their coverage of the virus:

For weeks, some of Fox News’s most popular hosts downplayed the threat of the coronavirus, characterizing it as a conspiracy by media organizations and Democrats to undermine President Trump.
Fox News personalities such as Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham accused the news media of whipping up “mass hysteria” and being “panic pushers.” Fox Business host Trish Regan called the alleged media-Democratic alliance “yet another attempt to impeach the president.”
But that was then.
With Trump’s declaration on Friday that the virus constitutes a national emergency, the tone on Fox News has quickly shifted.
On his program on Friday, Hannity — the most watched figure on cable news — lauded the president’s handling of what the host is now, belatedly, referring to as a “crisis.”

Well, of course the coverage has changed. That is because the situation changed. From something barely affecting a tiny percentage of Chinks (there are too many of them, anyway), it suddenly turned into something that can affect the Fox News anchors. The shift of tone, that's not flip-flopping, that's adjusting the coverage adequately as the situation changes.

Well, of course the coverage has changed. That is because the situation changed. From something barely affecting a tiny percentage of Chinks (there are too many of them, anyway), it suddenly turned into something that can affect the Fox News anchors. The shift of tone, that's not flip-flopping, that's adjusting the coverage adequately as the situation changes.

On a theological note, Fox News is about as good as one can get for a Christian perspective but, in my work, I find that some Christians can be over-optimistic.

It is easy in a God-fearing America to go about in the charitable belief that all fellow citizens are Christians. Fox’s earlier messages suffered from this flaw. All the messages would have been as valid then as they are now EXCEPT that mankind’s evil ways were not factored in.


In a perfect world, diseases affecting lesser nations would be of no interest or concern to America as we know that Jesus protects each and everyone of us against such things. And yet… and yet… Sin causes disease, and the abandonment of God (so often mentioned in the Bible) causes God to wax wroth.

The earlier positive and reassuring messages were thus true for a Christian Nation but there are out there catholics and atheists and all manner of heathens.

Thus we can say with certainty that this “virus” would have been harmless were we not surrounded by sinners.

And why did Fox News change its tune? Because Pastor Zeke phoned them and told them just what I have told you.

We need a leader and news coverage that is fluid and can adjust to changing circumstances. Trump is such a leader. A lesser leader would "take responsibility" and apologize for previous downplaying, but Trump knows to cast the blame onto China and Obama where it belongs.

If it weren't for their mess ups we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place, so can Fox News or Trump really be blamed for previous statements? I think not, and the majority of Americans agree!



Maybe this will sound "cruel", but I have another theory. I think like God ( 2 Thessalonians 2:11 ) , Trump realizes the necessity for occasional and very rare deceit for the greater political good. Sometimes in order to sway undecided voters, it takes a crisis of massive proportion. If Trump had cleaned this up easily, I don't think anybody would have realized how bad it could be. Look at Ebola or past viral outbreaks that we stopped quickly. Instead of being grateful to people who stopped it, more people were just surprised at the "media overreaction" to the outbreak. If you'll remember, Bush's approval rating was around 90% shortly after the attacks of 9/11 ( https://news.gallup.com/poll/116500/...orge-bush.aspx ). Had he prevented those attacks would his approval ratings have been as high? Very doubtful. This may be a challenging time, but if it stops a Biden presidency, it's well worth it in my book. Sometimes sacrifices need to be made for the greater good.

Did Donald Trump and Fox News intentionally and knowingly allow the spread of the virus in order to help Donald Trump politically? I think it's quite possible.

Indeed, Brother. Some may argue that a true leader would have predicted all the mess and acted beforehand. But this mess was impossible to predict! Even though every specialist was saying that it would get serious, but who in their right mind listens to specialists?!? A True Leader™, like our Beloved President Trump (), doesn't listen to specialists, only to Jesus and himself.

The Bible distinguishes between those who trust God and those who trust physicians.

II Chronicles 16:12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.

How did that work out for him? Not very well.

13-14a Asa.….died in the one and fortieth year of his reign. And they buried him in his own sepulchres

"Oh," I've heard it said, "Asa was going to die anyway, probably from gangrene." What we'd need then would be an example of God's Healing Power at work to compare and contrast. I've chosen an episode where rather than getting gangrene, consulting a physician and then dying anyway a completely different order of events is recorded. There were several witnesses.

II Kings 13:20-21 And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year. And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

They say we worship an inept God. My reply is simple. How many physicians have created universes? And here we see His power working where both the prophet and the afflicted man were dead. What happened? The man was healed. I can also include examples of live prophets in this case Elijah and Elisha which you can look up here:

Those are just a few examples but I'm sure you get the idea. God is the best doctor; if He were incompetent as mockers like to claim then some other explanation of how those afflicted souls recovered (but not Asa who thought he had something better than God so died) is required. So far I haven't heard one – well, I'm excluding "aliens" or "they weren't actually sick in the first place" and "telepathy from creatures living inside a hollow earth" type of stuff which don't explain anything better than gnomes or leprechauns would. Getting back on topic though, we have multiple references to the futility of preferring physicians over God. The comparison I would use here is that even a broken clock is right twice a day. My clock is a 5 minutes slow for example, while a broken just sits at the same time period. So say the broken clock is stuck at 6PM. At 6PM, does that mean the broken clock is "more accurate" than my slow clock? No, it just was right by random chance


Same thing, Trump's timeline was just a little slow. Nobody can predict everything perfectly, but on balance we will still have a better result and more accuracy by listening to the President's timeline. Yes, on rare occasion the broken clock scientists and doctors may get a few things right by accident, but on average we're still way better off by sticking to the President's timeline.

Trump has a special connection with Jesus, and we've seen how angry Jesus can get when we don't give him the respect He deserves. Can you imagine how mad Jesus would get if Christians everywhere stay home when we should be thanking Jesus for his ultimate temporary sacrifice? Ignoring the President's advice in this situation is downright dangerous.
